Today marks the beginning of our Sweet 16 celebration!

Sixteen years ago, I walked into and took a chance on myself and hoped I could build something that felt a little different—a place where great hair was important, but where kindness, authenticity, and genuine connection mattered just as much.

Since then, there have been thousands of appointments, countless conversations, fresh starts, celebrations, hard days, belly laughs, and so many people who’ve trusted me with not only their hair, but small pieces of their lives. That trust is something I’ll never take for granted.

If you’ve ever sat in my chair, recommended me to a friend, shared my work, followed along, or simply believed in what I’m building…

Looking ahead with gratitude ✨

Every year I take the last week or so to unplug digitally a bit, reflect, and reset. I do this to unpack the year, reconnect with what matters, and set intentions for what’s ahead.

Thank you to my guests and students for an incredible year. I know for many of us it felt a little off at times, but you were truly the highlight of mine. It was a weird year—but we made it. And this year? We’re making it a good one.

There’s a lot to look forward to. In the coming months you’ll notice a few thoughtful updates in the studio and online—a small space refresh, a simplified website and service menu, and more consistency here sharing hair, education, and little glimpses of life outside the salon. This summer also marks 16 years partnered with , which still feels pretty surreal.

Education is a big focus this year. I’ll be kicking things off teaching in Chicago this April, sharing our love of alongside some incredibly talented friends ( .newton.colorist ) —at a show that’s been on my bucket list for a long time.

Behind the scenes, I’m also recommitting to sharpening my own skills—refining the classics and exploring new techniques to bring back to you in the salon.

Here’s to growth, great hair, and a year that feels lighter! 🫶
