Getting back into the groove of things…with 2020 behind us and me having more time to focus on my creative side I am brainstorming new things to make and creative ways to bring them to you!

This past year I've been supporting my mom with a health issue she had. She is back to being her mostly normal self so this year I am hoping to spend more time on CrazyCraftNLadies.

Team Imagin8 is meeting this morning at The North Market. If you are a creative and interested in joining the team, please stop by. 10 to 10:30 get your coffee and pastry. 10:30 to 12:30 meeting. We meet in the upstairs seating area close to the magazine/flier racks.

I purchased both of Lisa Jacobs's books, her "Your Best Year 2018" Life edition and Business edition. I want to see if both help me in the areas that I need. I purchased her 2017 book last year and it helper where I actually applied it. I do Hooghly recommend her business book and will keep you posted on her Life edition.

I am taking a class called " Year End Rejuvenation & Business Plan 2017." Its been interesting working on myself and what and where I want my business to be.

What I've learned from 2017 is that I want the business to prosper on-line. I have a lot of work to do to get everything on-line but it will be worth it in the long run. After getting everything on etsy, I can maintain it and add other products as I go. Another thing that I learned was to listen to your customers (to a point). Many of our potential customers stressed how they would like to see our homespun scarves as infinity scarves. We were making infinity and Möbius scarves out of higher end yarn to have a variety and a different price range. But a lot of our higher end items did not sell well this year.

Last thing we have learned as a business, to only apply for shows that are serious. Shows that bring in the crowds that come specifically to purchase handmade items. I'm not putting down any other shows I've been in but there are differences in shows that promote so their vendors make money and shows that make money off of their vendors. I also don't like shows where anyone selling just anything can get in. Those types of shows the general public treats as flea markets and want to talk down your prices. I know both my mom and I work hard and do the best quality of work that we can put out there. Taking down our prices because someone is cheap is not an option.
