After a thoughtful and agonizing decision, today we'll wrap up the loose ends of Sheri's House of Hair salon. We move out of the building that she so lovingly built as her own artistic, creative space. I can still hear her enthusiasm over some old beat up pallet boards, "Oh mom, it's gonna be awesome when it's done!" She was absolutely right!

Hair products will be boxed up, artwork will come off the walls, (oh how she loved art), furniture and those shampoo bowls, with massaging chairs she loved so much, all packed in a van. The signs she designed, the entryway one, I crafted, will all be gone.

Now an empty space, where a girl with a dream once laughed, as she flitted from one room to another, twirling around, singing her songs along with the radio.

How rare to arrive in that place in time, when you realize your vision has become reality. She was finally where she belonged, sharing the best of herself with her clients, whom she regarded as extended family, for a small space in time.

I hope this space will be replaced by another dreamer with vision.

I hope they feel the love and spirit of this extraordinary young woman.

I hope they dare to reach further than their grasp and be fearless like Sheri! The "Secret of Life" lives on.

The helpful (and handsome!) men of the Columbus Fire Department helped us with getting CPR certified a few weeks ago and hand delivered our cards today. Thanks again!

Through our commitment to Community we are offering CPR CERTIFICATION/re-certification for only $15! Usually this class Is $50 thanks to Sergeant Jeff Ligan he and fellow fireman Daniel Holland .......CHEF JAMIE GROUBER put out the spread, we have a few more seats to fill

For anyone seeking CE hours, we are hosting a CPR class on Monday, May 2nd at noon that will credit us for hours of CE. So come one, come all! This class is for anyone wanting to know proper CPR techniques. Class is $15, the certification costs $8 and the remainder will go to local firemen giving the class. Featuring hor d'oeuvres by Chef Jamie Gruber.
