Hi friends!

What a year! We have made it to the end of 2020 and I’m not sad about it. I will most certainly be staying up to watch the ball drop into 2021! WHEW! I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for your support of my business. We’ve cried, laughed, gasped, giggled and talked into each other’s lives and I can’t imagine Loran B without you all in it! Thank you for supporting my dreams, career, and most importantly my little family. You all are great!

Most of you know that we have a little family update! I am pregnant with a baby girl due in April! We were very shocked at the news and so incredibly thankful for this sweet bonus gift God has given us. That being said, this presents some changes and challenges for my salon. My doctor has advised me to take a break behind the chair as I enter my third trimester next month. Additionally, I am going to take a pause in my career to be with my little growing family. While this decision was extremely difficult, we know that it is best. I am heartbroken to not see each of you and transition through all the seasons of hair with you but I would love to keep in touch!

I don’t know what this looks like going forward. I’m not sure when I’ll stand behind the chair again but I know this isn’t the end. Just a pause (as a sweet friend reminded me through my tears). I love you all and thank you for trusting me all these years.

My last day will be Monday 12/21/2020. I will have the ability to order products for you and have them available for pickup on 12/19 and 12/21.
Please have your product requests to me by Monday 12/14.

I have talked to many of you over the last few days and I can’t wait to see you and your hair! Coming to the salon will look a bit different now, and that’s ok. It’s different for both of us. My promise to you is to keep producing high quality hair color and haircuts in a way that you feel safe. I have been reviewing a lot of new procedures for salons in Ohio and for many other states. Some of the guidelines that I will have in place may look different than another salons in the area. All hairstylist have needed to evaluate their space and keep ALL guests in mind. My suite at MY SALON suites in Grandview is properly ventilated and has floor to ceiling walls with a secure door that will remain shut while a service is in progress. I am so thankful for our team at MY SALON suites as they have gone above and beyond to keep stylists safe so we can keep YOU safe. Here are some guidelines for your next appointment.

Arrival to salon:
- Please text my phone (513)267-9714 once you arrive in the parking lot. I will text back to let you know when it will be safe to come inside. There will only be one client in the salon at a time so please come alone. If the service is for your child, one parent is permitted inside the salon with the child. Please come at your appointment time and not earlier. Please be patient as I figure out this new system. You may have some wait time.

Arrival to the suite:
- You will need to bring a mask. Please make sure the mask loops behind the ears. This mask may get messy so please do not bring your favorite one ;). IF you forget your mask I have will some available for $2 each.
- Please do not bring purses, bags, or coats with you to your appointment. Only your phone, keys and method of payment. This will help keep cross contamination to a minimum.
- You will need to wash your hands upon entering. You can do so at my sink on my dispensary.
- I will have a contactless thermometer to take your temperature at the start of your appointment. (I will be taking my temperature throughout the day as well)
- There will be a short questionnaire/waiver that you will review and sign before your service starts.

** If you are feeling ill or someone in your home is unwell PLEASE cancel your appointment. **

Service:

WAXING:
- I will not be offering waxing services for the time being. I will keep you informed when we decide to begin offering it again.

HAIRCUTS:
- I will be doing minimal to no blowdrying. This is to help keep particles in the air from distributing on things that are not easy to sanitize between guests. If you are scheduled for a haircut and style, please come with clean, dry hair. I will cut your hair and heat style with thermal tools. OR if you would prefer to have a shampoo we can do that at the end of your haircut and you will need to leave with your hair damp.

HAIRCOLOR:
- Please come to your appointment with clean, dry hair as I will cut your hair prior to coloring. When we complete the color rinse and shampoo I will determine at that time if we need to do root blowdrying to check color tone and placement.

Whew! I never thought in my salon career that I would be typing out such interesting guidelines to post but I have never been more excited to be back behind my chair and seeing each of you! I’m counting down the days!

Whew! Ok! Y’all amaze me. I have the best clients a hairstylist could ask for. Thank you for being so patient with me as we figure out the details of reopening. I am almost done booking those guests that were canceled from the closure and should be reopening online booking VERY soon! Good morning! It looks like I will know more information later today about the salon reopening. Please know that I have disabled online booking at the moment until those that had appointments previously scheduled during the closure have all secured appointment times. If you are one of the those guests please update your contact information (phone /email) I will be emailing or texting you in the next few days.

Your next salon visit will look much different and that’s ok. It will be different for both of us. But I want to help you look and feel your best in a safe way. Stay tuned either FB or IG (.b.salon) email and text for updates later today!

Hi Hair Friends!
Just wanted to give you all an update of what I know at this point since I am getting lot of questions. We do not have an exact date to reopen. While I am hopeful we can reopen in May I will not be booking any additional appointments until I know an exact date. I will being contacting everyone in the order that their appointment was canceled due to the closure. Those that I have scheduled for the 5/9-5/11 (rescheduled from March) weekend will keep those appointments until you hear from me otherwise. Thank you for being patient with me as we sort this all out. It has been so strange to not be behind the chair and seeing each of you. I can not wait to be back at it. Please note, I CAN NOT do home hair services at your home or mine. It is illegal and puts my license in jeopardy...and I’d really like to be able to still do hair when this is all over ;).
