Hey, I’m Kayla, the artist behind Ink Addict Fine Line Tattoos. 🖤 I’m a Texas-based fine line artist specializing in delicate, feminine, meaningful tattoos with a little edge. Whether it’s a sentimental custom piece or something fun from my flash collection, I love creating tattoos that feel uniquely you.

When I’m not tattooing, I’m a wife, mom of two girls, teacher, and unapologetic book girlie. My goal is to make your tattoo experience comfortable, personal, and fun.

Hello, beautiful! I’m Katie Colschen, and I’ve been blessed to be behind the chair for 16 years — and I’m praying for many, many more!

I truly wake up every day with a purpose: to show up for my girls, help them feel beautiful from the inside out, and create a space where they feel loved, heard, and encouraged. One of my favorite parts of being a hairstylist is that it goes far beyond beautiful hair. My chair has become a place for conversation, counseling, prayer, ministry, laughter, and sometimes a few tears — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I specialize in custom color and custom hair extensions, along with haircutting and personalized hair services designed for each individual client.

After owning Downtown Roots for 10 years, I can’t fully explain the peace I’ve found in becoming independent again and creating my own space inside The Velvet Chair. I’m incredibly thankful for my coworkers and for Ryane, who has created such a beautiful environment where women can support one another, grow, and thrive.

I’m so grateful for every client who has trusted me with their hair — and their hearts — over the years. Here’s to 20+ more years together and, of course, lots of beautiful hair. 🤎✨

With 15 years behind the chair, hair isn’t just my career—it’s something I genuinely love. I’m passionate about helping my clients feel confident, beautiful, and completely themselves. I specialize in extensions and color, and smiles.

I’m a true family person at heart. I’m married and a proud mom to a son who plays high school football, so when I’m not at the salon, you’ll probably find me cheering him on from the sidelines and spending time with the people I love most.

I’m a lifelong Conroe girl, bringing my love for hair and my passion for making people feel amazing everywhere I go. I’m so excited to continue growing my career, building relationships with my clients, and creating a space where everyone feels welcomed, comfortable, and beautiful.

Hi, I’m Julie Westmoreland, owner of Revitalize Therapeutic Massage, located inside The Velvet Chair. ❤️

I graduated from Aveda Institute in 2011 and began my massage therapy career in 2012. After years of experience, I opened Revitalize Therapeutic Massage five years ago and have loved every minute of it!

Helping others has always been my passion. I customize each massage to fit my client’s individual needs—whether that’s deep tissue, sports massage, relaxation/Swedish massage, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, focused therapeutic work, and more.

I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing clients I’ve been blessed with over the years and love helping people feel better both physically and mentally.

I love that this industry is always evolving and gives me opportunities to continue learning and growing as a stylist. But what I treasure most are the relationships I’ve built along the way.

To me, being a hairstylist is about so much more than hair. It’s about connection, making people feel beautiful and confident, celebrating life’s victories, walking through the hard seasons, and even praying with and for the people who sit in my chair.

My passion has always been two things: creating and loving on people. Somehow, I was blessed with a dream job that allows me to do both every single day.

Behind the chair, I love helping each person discover the best expression of themselves—whether that’s through a fresh cut, beautiful color, or simply giving them a space where they feel seen, encouraged, and cared for.

As the owner of The Velvet Chair, one of my greatest joys is getting to work alongside an incredible group of talented women. I love watching them grow, create, support one another, and use their gifts to make others feel beautiful.

For me, this salon is about so much more than hair. It’s about connection, creativity, confidence, and community—and I’m incredibly grateful that I get to call this my job. 🤎
