📣🐴 A Few Exciting Announcements & Reminders! 🐴📣

💙 Congratulations to Brenna, Laeken & Margo! 💙

A huge congratulations to the girls on all their hard work with their Bluebonnet Training Challenge ponies! They spent the summer training their horses before taking them to this weekend’s big adoption event, where they were able to show off everything their horses had learned and help them find their forever homes. 🐴✨

🏡 Trenadie found her new home! We’re so excited to see what her future holds!

💙 Bandera is still looking for his person, but there has been lots of interest in him. We may even eventually see him at one of our regional Pony Club events with his future rider — fingers crossed! 🤞🐴

We had such a great experience with the Bluebonnet Training Challenge that this may be something we add to our yearly calendar moving forward! If you or your rider would be interested in participating next year, please let me know. 🐴💙

🎪 Sandy Creek Pony Club Fundraising Show

Don’t forget to get your entries in for our upcoming fundraising show! 🏆 If you’re not competing, please let me know — we have plenty of volunteer opportunities and would love your help making the show a success!

🌸 Spring 2027 — Clinics & Shows!

We have lots of exciting clinics, shows and other riding opportunities coming up in Spring 2027! We’re excited to start incorporating more of these opportunities into our regular program.

🐎 Priority for available horses will be given to riders who are leasing or part-leasing, so keep that in mind if you’re hoping to participate in more clinics and showing opportunities next year.

📅 Lesson Schedule Reminder

Finally, a friendly reminder that we require 30 days’ notice if you wish to discontinue lessons. This helps us keep our lesson schedule running as effectively as possible, allows us time to offer spaces to other riders, and ensures our monthly budgeting is taken care of.

Thank you everyone for your continued support! We have lots of exciting things ahead for our riders and horses! 🐴💙✨

Horses have taught me so much—patience, how to stay calm during the unpredictable, responsibility, love, self-reflection, and even how to control my heart rate when the world starts spinning.

Today at the Bluebonnet Horse Expo & Rescue Horse Training Challenge Bluebonnet Expo, they taught me something else: it doesn’t matter what your background is. Consistency, hard work, and a little bit of hope can make up for 90% of what life throws at you.

But I think we already knew that. ❤️

Today, I watched rescue horses of all shapes, breeds, sizes, and backgrounds walk into the ring and act like seasoned show horses.

Bandera- Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society Bandera showed us what time, patience, and consistency can really achieve. Although he didn’t find his person today, he’ll move on to another foster home, where we hope they’ll continue all the great work Margo has done with him. He’s come such a long way, and I know his person is out there.

Trenadie- Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society Trenadie found herself a new kiddo! ❤️ Her new rider hopes to jump her and maybe even do some eventing with the help of their trainer. Brenna and Laeken worked so well as a team with her over the summer and got to dip their toes into the world of training horses. Seeing all of that work lead to her finding her next person was pretty special.

And you'll all be proud of me...

I came home with an EMPTY trailer. 😂

Although, I’ll admit, it was close a few times. 👀🐴

Ask me tomorrow—or, technically, later today—if we’re doing it again next year. 😂❤️

We had another great day ar Heather Ridge Farms schooling show.
We are SO proud of all of our riders.

Freya and Bullet entered the walk, trot division and did great, they will continue to work on their canter work and cross rails ar home so that they might start 2027 in the crossrail division. They came home with ribbons to add to their collection.

Brenna and Trenadie- Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society did their first ever show together and entered the crossrails class. Trenadie was so good , jumped great and came home with some ribbons (maybe her first ever ribbons, we don't know). Great prep for the Bluebonnet Horse Expo & Rescue Horse Training Challenge next week.

Laeken and Bullet entered the 2ft equitation and also came home with ribbons! This was the pairs first show together and they jumped SO well! They're finding their rythem and got better with every round!

Margo and Bandera- Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society came along for the ride and experience to help set them up for (winning) the expo next week. It's bad luck that due to an injury last week (that is no recovered) they weren't able to compete, otherwise I know they would've done great. Although he was a good boy standing at the trailer almost all day. So today was a valuable day towards his training.

A big thank you to a by for coming along to help and support. The non riding part of shows is so important and riders do need all the hekp they can get to make for a less stressful day.

Our riders are not riding finished horses, they're riding horses that are relatively inexperienced at shows. They are truely showing what they are made of. They're becoming skilled riders, who will be able to go on to ride many different types of horses when they're ready to leave corpus.

We are proud of our KJ Equestrian team and are excited to whats in-store next.

A little bit of show prep today :) two of our students will be competing in The United States Piny Club virtual showjumping competition. Which is hosted by The Pony Club UK!

We've been practicing our show jumping in preparation for the Sandy Creek Pony Club fundraising show.

We welcomed American Heritage Girls Group to our barn yesterday where they learned all about caring for horses and riding.

Let's help to raise Sandy Creek Pony Club some funds with their fundraiser.

Check out the link to buy some beautiful holiday wreaths and garland to help them raise money fir their program.
