Throwback Thursday 🌊📸
A windy, overcast wedding day at Michael J. Ellis Beach on North Padre Island, Corpus Christi and still such a good reminder that beautiful photographs do not need perfect weather.

This day had movement, laughter, family, crashing waves, and that unmistakable Gulf Coast mood. We worked with what the beach gave us, and years later, that’s exactly what I still love about these images.

My approach has always been a mix of natural storytelling and gentle editorial guidance, so you still get the real moments without ever feeling like you’ve been dropped in front of a camera and told to figure it out.

25+ years of weddings, families, elopements, and coastal stories later, I still believe the best photographs are about connection first. 🤍

September on the Texas coast might just be one of my favorite little secrets. 🌊✨

The summer rush begins to settle, the evenings soften, and the beach gives us some absolutely beautiful light.

Beach sessions with me aren’t about standing perfectly still and hoping everyone smiles at the same time. We’ll get that gorgeous family portrait, but we’ll also let the kids play, walk the shoreline, cuddle, laugh and just be themselves.

Those are usually the photographs families end up loving most. 🤍
