What an experience. ❤️
HYROX NYC was one of the toughest physical challenges we’ve ever taken on. Between the outdoor venue, the heat, the humidity, and the demands of the race itself, .. for me..💪 I had to move the “men’s” weight since we did the MIXED DOUBLES category..
there were definitely moments where we had to dig deep and keep moving forward.
What also makes me proud is that we chose to step into something difficult together. So many people watch from the sidelines, talk themselves out of trying, or wait until the conditions are perfect. We didn’t. We signed up, put in work, showed up, and faced the challenge head-on.
Were we nervous? Absolutely. Was it hard? Without a doubt. But growth doesn’t happen in comfort zones.
We stepped onto the course together, supported each other through every mile and every station, and crossed the finish line together. That alone is something I’ll always be proud of. ❤️
But what made this race so special to me wasn’t the finish time or the placement. It was getting to do it alongside my husband.
Training together, encouraging each other through the hard moments, and crossing that finish line as a team is something I’ll never forget. After everything life has thrown our way over the years, sharing this accomplishment together means more than I can put into words.
I also want to thank everyone who reached out with kind words, prayers, encouragement, and support before and after the race. We truly appreciate every message, every comment. So many of you know how much doing this together meant to us, and your encouragement carried more weight than you realize.🥰
At the end of the day, this race reminded me that some of life’s greatest victories aren’t about being the fastest or strongest. They’re about showing up, persevering, and sharing the journey with the people you love.
The “patch” is special☺️, but the memory of doing this together is what I’ll treasure most. ❤️
Thank you all for cheering us on. ❤️🗽✝️

💈Some call it grooming. We call it an experience.
In a world full of rush, convenience, and constant demands, a hot towel shave is a reminder that some things are still worth slowing down for.
✨Luxury isn’t always expensive. Sometimes it’s a hot towel, a straight razor, and a little peace and quiet.
For many men, it’s the closest thing to therapy they’ll schedule.
An hour where nobody needs anything from them.
Just a moment to relax, unwind, and be taken care of.
💈Traditional Hot Towel Shave.
Timeless craftsmanship.
An experience that never goes out of style.👌

Get FADED.. 🔥
His momma always brings him in head half shaven.. I get to fade that line out.. … 💈
I always run the shaver over sides and back again to get it nice and clean, clean up stragglers around the ears, scissor the top, give him a nice clean razor “hard” part , and edge up the front. 🔥

Behind every fresh cut is years of sacrifice, long days, missed breaks, tired feet, and showing up even when life gets heavy. 💈
People see the fades, the beard work, the posts…
But they don’t always see the discipline, the pressure, the consistency, and the heart behind it all.♥️
I didn’t build this through shortcuts.
I built it through faith, hard work, loyalty to my clients, and refusing to quit when life got hard.
A haircut is more than looking good.
Confidence.
Conversation.
Therapy.
Self respect.
And every person who sits in my chair matters to me.

🇺🇸♥️Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who are no longer with us, those who answered the call to serve our country and made the ultimate sacrifice. Because of them, we are blessed with freedoms that so many often take for granted. Their courage, selflessness, and willingness to lay down their lives gave us the opportunity to live the lives we have today.
🇺🇸Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it’s a reminder that freedom came at a cost. And in many ways, their sacrifice reflects the greatest act of love: giving one’s life for others. Just as Jesus laid down His life for us, these heroes gave theirs so future generations could live free.
May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we live with gratitude, humility, and appreciation for those who gave everything for something bigger than themselves. 🇺🇸✝️

Last year, right before we were about to start MURPH, we received the news of our buddy passing.
Instantly, our hearts were saddened. 💔
He was not only my client, but a great friend.
🇺🇸 He deployed with my husband both times and was like a brother to him. Family to us. I’ll never forget when he brought my husband to surprise me after his first deployment home.
He was a loyal client and friend who always waited for me to cut his hair, clean up his beard, and shape that signature mustache 👨🏻. He was also incredibly supportive of our 💈small business, and that meant more than he probably ever realized.
He never once asked for a discount. On the contrary, sometimes he’d drive all the way from his parents’ home in Cuero just to come see me. He’d always say, “You’re worth it,” and remind me to charge my worth. Those words have stayed with me.
Today, we remember you, bud. ♥️ Abraham Zamora
And we honor you and all the service members who have passed and sacrificed so much for our freedom.
Freedom is not free. 🇺🇸

This woman.
Grateful for every season that shaped me. The hard ones that tested me. The beautiful ones that reminded me who I am. The quiet ones where God was working in me, even when I didn’t see it yet.
These photos hold a woman who has carried many roles.
As a mother, I learned a love deeper than I knew existed.
As a wife, I learned how to grow together, not just side by side.
As a business owner at ,
I learned faith and resilience.
And as a woman… I learned how to find myself again.
I’m learning to be softer. Wiser. More grounded. More grateful.
And I want to say this too… I’m human. I’m flawed. I don’t claim to be perfect. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve had doubts. I’ve had moments where I didn’t recognize myself. But I kept going.
Sometimes I think about the younger version of me… the girl who carried so much on her shoulders, who worried, who wondered how everything would turn out.
I hope she can see me now.
I think she’d be proud. Not because everything is perfect… but because I didn’t give up. Because I kept believing. Because I kept becoming.
This age feels like peace.
Like coming home.
Like finally understanding that I was never behind…
I was just being prepared.
Thank you, God, for allowing me to grow into her. 🤍
….
Grateful for my husband for helping me find the perfect dress for this occasion. Felt so pretty. ♥️

I received a message from a mutual client Maira and I have—
“When your leap of faith gives someone else the courage to take theirs, that’s purpose.”
Especially when you know their story—their struggles, where they come from, and how the world may judge them before ever knowing them. To see someone push past excuses, rise above perception, and pursue what so many are afraid to start… that’s a blessing to witness.
I truly wish him the best.
Because our barber chair is so much more than just a haircut. ✂️🖤.
The real flex isn’t cars, clothes, or clout.
It’s how deeply you love people and positively impact lives.
Influence means nothing if you’re not helping someone grow. Legacy won’t be measured by what you had, but by who you helped. Real power is when your presence inspires action, your story sparks change, and your words shift someone’s mindset enough to unlock a new level.
If you want to be remembered—make people feel seen. Make people feel heard. Lift others as you climb. The impact you make on people will always outlive anything material you chase.
That’s the difference between popularity and purpose.
You weren’t just called to win—you were called to lead. And real leaders build leaders.
There will be resistance. There will be pushback. That’s okay. Some people take longer to understand genuine care. Your perseverance and grit speak for you. That’s the flex.
..
♥️ My career is more than a job—it’s a calling. Every day, I get to pour my passion into a craft that allows me to serve people, build confidence, and create something meaningful with my hands. I take pride in the discipline, consistency, and heart it takes to run my own shop, knowing that nothing about this journey was handed to me—it was earned.
💈 As a woman, owning a business in this country is something I never take for granted. I am grateful to live in a place where hard work is rewarded, where I can dream boldly, lead independently, and create opportunities not only for myself but for others as well.
⭐️This shop represents freedom, responsibility, and the belief that with faith, grit, and purpose, a woman can build something lasting. I love what I do, I love how I do it, and I’m proud of where I get to do it..🙏. ✨✨ www.courtesybarberstudio.com ✨
