SHOUTOUT TO CARMEN HARJOE! πŸ”₯

Carmen has been crushing her Power Cleans this cycle and today hit 110 # Γ— 3! She did not know I was filming (I didn't want to her to be distracted). Watch until the end for her reaction πŸ˜€ She was glad I caught her awesome PR on camera though. Way to go!

Do you have injuries or limitations that require an attentive and highly skilled coach? Do you want to ease back into training with customized workouts without the high cost of a personal trainer? Do you want to begin a workout routine but find large group classes intimidating?

I coach a small private training group of women and I am looking for several women to join! All ages and ability levels welcome.

Schedule: M/W/F at 9:45-10:45am or 1-2pm
at The SHOP on 2nd Street in Corvallis

Training will include Mobility/Power/Strength/Conditioning (Cardio)
Cost: $300/month (12 workouts total)

The workouts will be highly tailored to your needs. If you have injuries, limitations, or are new to training this is perfect for you.

The 2 Minute Rule:

Most of us have plenty of knowledge about eating a healthy diet and exercising. Most of us still struggle with implementing changes despite this knowledge. Knowing is not enough.

We need to learn how to effectively implement new habits and remove unhelpful habits, whether it is nutrition related or not.

James Clear, author of Atomic Habits suggests following the 2 Minute Rule which states that a new habit should take 2 minutes or less. Imagine setting a goal to go for a 2 minute walk. It seems a little silly but hear me out. You set the bar low. So low that it feels practically effortless. You put your shoes on and head out the door. After 2 minutes will you turn around and go home? Or, feeling momentum, do you continue? Most of us, after feeling the satisfaction of hitting a goal will keep going.

Try the 2 Minute Rule with a habit you want to start and tell me about your results!!! Also, I highly recommend the book Atomic Habits!

Baby steps lead to transformation. Start with a teeny tiny goal and get it firmly into your routine. Big exciting changes to lifestyle are fun but consistency always wins in the end. So, choose to add a habit that you KNOW you can stick with. An evening walk with your partner? Eat a big salad once per day? Drink 1 big glass of water right when you wake up? Small is better. Momentum will build from there.
