❓ What’s really under a wart?

Many people think a wart is just a small bump on the skin. In reality, what you see on the surface is only part of the problem.

🦠 A wart is caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which infects the skin cells. The virus lives in the deeper layers of the skin while causing the upper layers to grow excessively, creating the raised lesion you see.

This is why:
✔️ Simply cutting or filing off the top of a wart does not remove the virus.
✔️ Improper treatment may spread the virus to nearby skin.
✔️ Professional assessment and the right treatment plan are essential for safe and effective removal.

If you notice a suspicious lesion on your feet or hands, don’t ignore it. Early treatment is often easier and helps reduce the risk of spreading.
