Itโs summer time so here are some doโs and Donโts when you get a sunburn!
๐ You should take cold showers to help pull the heat out of the skin and moisturize when the skin is damp.
๐ The skin has been traumatized and the moisture has been removed from the skin. So you will have to put moisture back in by drinking water, applying moisturizer, aloe and also reapplying SPF.
๐ The skin will be itchy and sometimes inflamed so taking anti-inflammatory medication will help relieve that.
๐ DO NOT: use harsh exfoliation products, scratch at the skin, pick or peel the burn.

Which is your favorite?
Glycolic acid
Safe enough to use on sensitive skin types, derived from plants, exfoliation, can be used to treat scarring/ discoloration/ signs of aging skin like fine lines and wrinkles,great moisturizer, boosts collagen production. Best for normal, oily and combo skin types.
Hyaluronic acid
Can hold up to 1000x itโs weight in water so it is a great hydration ingredient, humectant which draws in moisture and is able to hold onto it, improves uneven skin tone, stimulates skin cell regeneration, helps reduce and fight against hyperpigmentation.
Lactic acid
Retextures skins surface, stimulates cell renewal and cell turnover, exfoliating, hydrates skin and stimulates ceramics production, improves the natural moisture in the skin, can improve signs of aging if used regularly, can be used to fade some hyperpigmentation ( like sun spots and aging spots ). Best for sensitive skin types.
Salicylic acid
Exfoliant; penetrates into pores to dissolve dead skin cells that has built up on the surface and clogged pores, combats acne; great for oily/ acne prone skin, shrinks pores, evens out the skin tone and hyperpigmentation
Niacinamide is a favorite ingredient among estheticianโs and should be yours as well! You should be added to your skin care and hereโs why!
