There’s something different about walking into a room full of black women embracing their natural hair.
Every texture, every style, every journey all in one place. And just being surrounded by this kind of pride is a dream come true.
Spaces like the World Natural Hair Show remind me that our hair has always been more than just Hair. It’s culture, it’s expression, and it’s something our ancestor’s fault for us to wear freely.
I’m so grateful I got to experience it again this year. If you missed it, don’t make that mistake twice. See you next year.
One thing this exhibit made very clear… a lot of these stories start in childhood.
I’m not gonna lie… this one stayed with me.
This weekend in Atlanta, my sister and I went to the Serial Killer Exhibition and it was equal parts interesting and heavy. Walking through 40+ rooms of real cases, artifacts, and crime scene recreations really puts things into perspective.
One thing we couldn’t ignore. so many of the stories pointed back to childhood trauma and complicated relationships at home. It definitely makes you think.
📍 Located at Pullman Yards in Atlanta
🗓️ Runs through **May 4, 2026**
If you’re into true crime, I’d say check it out… and if you’re not in Atlanta, look up the tour dates to see when it’s coming to your city.
Would you go?
