Turning 40 in two weeks and walking in absolutely glowing ✨

For her milestone refresh, we focused on subtle structure and lift, not change. I did a full face Dysport to soften expression lines and lift through the lateral brow area, lateral and mid cheek filler to restore the support that naturally diminishes with age, and a touch through the nasolabial folds to smooth without overfilling.

I finished with lip filler tailored to her natural M-shape, enhancing the cupid’s bow and adding hydration through the body of the lip. (Lips are freshly treated {swollen} and will settle over the next 1–2 weeks.)
This is what an intentional, age-appropriate refresh looks like…still her, just rested, lifted, and ready for this next decade.

A note on my photos: I’m continuously refining my lighting and photography setup so my before and afters are as honest and consistent as possible! I think that is extremely important especially when showcasing my work.

In December, this patient finally pulled the trigger on 2 vials of Sculptra; something she’d been putting off for years, and I’m so glad she did!

In January she came back for her routine Dysport, and in February she did a Perfect Derma Peel with Hazel to address some texture she’d been noticing as well as adjusted her at home skincare routine. Intentional, layered, and most importantly, on her timeline.

In an industry that moves quickly and is heavily influenced by social media trends, it can be easy to forget that our first obligation is always to the safety of the patient sitting in front of us.

Aesthetic medicine is often treated like it’s simple or easy. Many want to do it “on the side,” and large pharmaceutical companies push sales and treatment trends. But at the end of the day, it is still the practice of medicine. Every procedure, every treatment, and every decision carries real responsibility and real risk.

Careful screening. Appropriate patient selection. Conservative treatment planning. Thoughtful clinical judgment.

These are not optional parts of aesthetic medicine rather they are the foundation of it.

Just because a treatment can be performed does not always mean it should be.

The best providers understand that protecting a patient sometimes means slowing down, asking more questions, or even declining treatment when something doesn’t feel right clinically. If you’ve sat in my chair, there’s a good chance you’ve heard me say no more often than yes.

This result is a perfect example of why restraint, anatomy, and angles matter more than volume. Subtle support placed strategically along the bridge can visually straighten the profile, soften a dorsal irregularity, and improve harmony between the nose, lips, and chin without changing who you are.
