And right now, and right now, and right now.
There is no “someday.”
How can I show up for the highest version of myself and my dreams RIGHT NOW?
What is one thing I can do to make RIGHT NOW exceptional?
What ACTION can I take RIGHT NOW to move 1% towards my dream?

Am I here to inspire and create freely, or am I here for validation of my work? Is my work tied to my identity and therefore I also seek validation of my self-worth?
The answer is both……and…..it’s ok.
It’s ok to want to be known, to be acknowledged for hard work. It fu***ng feels great. It’s also important to recognize this as a trap. To seek happiness through things outside of ourselves is not only a rigged game, but it relinquishes our power to others, material objects, and circumstances. However, I’ve found myself hiding this desire to be validated through a facade of content meant to “inspire.”
Based on messages and conversations with others, I can say that some of my work does inspire. I can also look deeper and find other driving factors that push my efforts. Jung describes the shadow as the aspect of ourself that we keep hidden, often from ourselves. This shadow aspect is often confused with being dark or evil, but it is simply just hidden. Many times we can find beautiful aspects of ourselves here.
A more “whole” self can begin to form as we acknowledge the aspects of ourselves we don’t look at, or don’t want to see. In this case, I want my content to blow up, and I also want it to inspire others. Both can be true, one doesn’t negate the other.

Yesterday I spent part of my day working on a dream project with my close friend . Not only did I get to check the box for a project that has been fermenting for years, I was able to include one of my favorite clients Suzanne (who also seems to be a fan favorite of my followers.)
Suzanne had a fall this week, so she was unable to serve up her normal spread. Instead, Jonny and I brought the spread as well as some extra love and support.
I’m super grateful to co create with both Suzanne and Jonny, can’t wait to share with you. ❤️🌹

New images with playing with soft natural light and harder direct light/shadows.
I started taking portraits about 10 years ago. My primary interest was to try and capture what I see in my head regarding my haircuts and the humans that wear them. Even after all this time, they don’t always line up.
What I have found along this journey of photography is a new way to study my haircuts. I find that still image has enormous power in its ability to tell a story, but to also help inform me technically , shape my eye, and expand my palette of possibilities.
In my opinion, whether you post it or not, documenting your work is a non-negotiable. It is crucial to the ongoing development of the craft.
Do you photograph your work?

When your close friend, who also taught you most of what you know about photography, asks you to photograph him. Equal parts “ maybe the 10 years of practice is paying off/ why TF did he ask me?”
Isn’t this the process for everything? “ I think I’m starting to get this…..5 min later, I have no idea what I’m doing.”
A reminder that there is no place to arrive, only the moment in which we can look closer, sense more openly, and ask…what is happening here?
Thanks for the trust my dude 🙏🏻🫶🏼
