I’m an old-school stylist who learned a long time ago that if I wanted to stay in this game, I had to be willing to reinvent myself.

After 38+ years behind the chair, I can still pull out the Marcel irons and do what needs to be done. 😂 But I also know that electric tools are more convenient—and sometimes, they’re simply the better tool for the job.

That’s what longevity in this industry has looked like for me.

Keep learning. Keep evolving. Keep your foundation, but don’t be afraid to add something new.

And maybe that’s why “niching down” has always been a little hard for me.

I love custom wigs. I love working with raw Indian hair. I love creating solutions for women experiencing thinning and hair loss. But at the end of the day, I just love doing hair.

I love looking at a woman and figuring out what will enhance her.
