Dearest Clients and Friends,
​ With cautious anticipation, I will be re-opening my salon doors on Friday, May 8th. The Salon Suites at Hillside Village is taking all the required precautions to make our space as safe and sanitary as possible, and will be undergoing a thorough cleaning prior to opening. Additionally, each stylist will be required to follow strict sanitation measures during and between all appointments.
Some of those measures are:
-wearing face masks and a new pair of gloves for each client
-Disinfecting all surfaces between clients
-Cleaning and disinfecting all tools
-Constant hand washing​
​What I ask of you:
-Please come with a mask on that you will wear for the entire session.
-Please wash your hands in my sink immediately upon arriving
-Wait in your vehicle until I call or text you that I am ready as I will need time between clients to disinfect and sanitize my room and tools.
-PLEASE DO NOT COME WITH DAYS OLD DIRTY HAIR! WASH YOUR HAIR PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT, EVEN IF I WILL BE WASHING IT DURING THE APPOINTMENT!
​-Only one client per stylist is permitted per the ordinance. Only guests with scheduled services will be permitted in the building, You cannot bring your children to the appointment unless they are also there for a service.
-DO NOT COME TO THE APPOINTMENT IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19. THIS INCLUDES COUGH, SHORTNESS OF BREATH OR DIFFICULTY BREATHING, FEVER, REPEATED SHAKING WITH CHILLS, MUSCLE PAIN, HEADACHE, SORE THROAT, LOSS OF TASTE OR SMELL, DIARRHEA, FEELING FEVERISH.
-If you have any of these symptoms within two weeks prior to your appointment, you will need to be rescheduled.

I am currently working on booking clients in order of missed appointments first. I am not accepting new clients until my current clients have booked their appointments. Did you see Terra (and her model Adler) live on Fox 4 this morning? She’ll be cautious in reopening Chantilly Creative based on the advice of medical experts (and state mandates), but in the meantime maybe this will help tide over the kids a bit? Friends: going against literally everything that I learned about business in hair school, I’m working on an idea for an At-Home, Do-It-Yourself Hair Coloring kit that would be available for either delivery or pickup for a set price. I would be using the same great product that I use in salon, and sending out the tools that you would need, as well as a video demo on how to apply the product. Thoughts? Trying to navigate owning a salon in these weird times.
