We had a great time at the DPS/RCC Career Fair Wednesday morning! Thank you to the students of MacArthur and Eisenhower for being so engaging and a huge thank you to my wife Shyler, instructor Joe Couch and alumni Shehab Qatoum for representing the school so well!

Congratulations to Justin Witty on his graduation from barber college! You would be hard pressed to find a more ideal student than him. He is ALWAYS asking what he can do to be better. He comes to the shop with a great attitude every single day and is quick to encourage others or lend a helping hand with newer students. On top of that, he just has an energy about him that I love to be around! He LOVES this trade and pours everything he has into each client that sits in his chair. He was tailor-made to be a barber. I’m so proud and excited for his future—he deserves everything coming his way because he worked so hard to make it happen. Congrats, Justin! 💈👨🏻‍🎓

Never Forget. 🇺🇸

We are closing at 2:00 today 9/5 for Labor Day Weekend.

Congratulations to our newest student and the FIRST recipient of our scholarship from Empowerment Opportunity Center & Lincoln Land Credit Union, Jaylen O’Neal! This scholarship has enabled Jaylen to pursue his dream of becoming a licensed barber!

These scholarships are open to any resident of Macon County and we are thrilled with the new opportunities this has created for aspiring barbers to achieve their dreams.

Congratulations to Chance Coy on his graduation from barber college! Having a guy like Chance graduate is always bittersweet because he is so reliable and consistent in helping a shop run smoothly. He built a big following here not only because of his talent behind the chair, but he just has a personality that people gravitate to and he’s NEVER without something to say 🤣! I throughly enjoyed having him here—he’s the kind of barber that shop owners dream of hiring—he always shows up, is always consistent and brings great energy to those around him. His sports takes on the other hand…let’s just say it contributes to the lively banter that makes a barbershop what it is 😁. I’ll sure miss being around him everyday but I have no doubt he will have an amazing career. Congrats, Chance! 💈📚

Congratulations to Mary Madson on her graduation from barber college! She now adds her name to the growing list of LBC alum that are dual licensed cosmetologists & barbers!

Mary is already the owner of The Den Hair Emporium in downtown Champaign with an awesome crew of barbers and cosmetologists. In the short time that Mary was with us, she made quite the impression and built an impressive following. She is the consummate professional behind the chair. She has such a great personality that people gravitate towards and ALWAYS gives her very best to her clients. It is not hard to see why she has already had such a successful career and now that she is soon to be dual licensed, the sky is truly the limit for her and her business. She will be very missed around here but she has an amazing future and career ahead of her and it is well earned. Congrats, Mary! 💈📚

Thank you to all of the parents, families and kids that came out for our annual week of free back to school haircuts for K-8 students! We had another huge turnout this year and it was awesome to see lots of happy kids and parents!

This is all made possible by our longstanding partnership with the Painters & Glaziers Union and, as always, a special shoutout to Bill Francisco who helps facilitate this event every year.

Thank you again to ALL of our clients for your continued support of the school over the years! 💈 🏫 📚
