Personally… this season was very hard for me, and tonight, this full moon was a beautiful reminder to honor myself and the person I needed to become this past year.
With tear-filled eyes, I stand proudly in a light I created for myself.
I often mourn the version of me who struggled to get here. The long nights, the therapy, the tears, the moments of having to find strength when I felt like I had none left…
But I also know my mother’s strength was moving through me while I searched for the courage to survive the worst day of my life, and all of the hardest moments that followed when no one was watching.
I know she would have been so proud of me.
It is a privilege and an honor to stand in the place I created for myself, for my business, my marriage and my career this year.
To some, it’s just some spiritual “woo woo” hippie s**t over a full moon…
But for some of us, it’s a reminder that we’ve survived things we never thought we could, to continue working towards our goals and being very selective about what we do with our time.
Cheers to us, the love between us and the people beside us. 🌕

We went through some hard s**t this last year, and we’re still here. Still kind. Still making an effort to enjoy life, even with tear-filled eyes.
As we approach the anniversary of the deaths of our moms and my aunt, and my grandfather soon, I’m find myself having these little flashes of some of our hardest moments.
I know this page has seen a lot of grief posts lately, but it’s a big part of my life and I’m not going to apologize for sharing it. I’m an esthetician, but I’m also a person and for me, it’s all connected.

There’s something so satisfying about watching skin exhale. 🌬️
This client came in with mild congestion, dehydration lines, dryness, dullness, and pigmentation across the high points of the cheeks. The skin felt stripped, thirsty, and in need of support.

Grief has a way of finding me in the most unexpected spaces… 🤍
Today, while cleaning the studio, I found myself wanting to call my mom.
It’s funny how grief works. One moment you’re folding towels, organizing products, or moving through an ordinary day, and the next you’re missing someone so deeply it catches you off guard.
When I created Sun & Soul, I never imagined how much room it would make for vulnerability—not just for my clients, but for me, too.
Every day, I have the privilege of holding space for others as they navigate their own stories, healing, and transformations. Somewhere along the way, this little sanctuary became a place where I could soften, reflect, and heal, too.
