I pray pray pray for this year in 2023 I will muster up some energy, motivation, and passion to create new paintings from a place of truth and originality. I want to think outside the “box” and become creatively free. The last four years I have been strained creatively to paint a certain way that I think I should. I almost kind of developed a painters “writers block”.. knowing myself I need to be easy on myself when making things…I have a lot of self criticism and that is what halts my artistic exploration. I pray to the universe to help me and guide me to come a bit closer to my authentic self. Like when I was a little kid taking my moms paper from her printer and draw for hours with no boundaries, innocence and making whatever the hell I felt like making because my boundaries where endless. ❤️
