Two years ago I was blessed with the opportunity to do wedding nails for a special friend. Of course I'm partial, but I think the finished result was unique and special. Just like this bride.

Months ago I told my 94 year old client how much I admired her ring. She was wearing it again today and I smiled as I remembered her response to my compliment. (Enunciating every word and in her slow New Orleans drawl.)

I was half listening to the news this evening when a story came on about someone celebrating their 106th birthday. As I turned to look, this sweet face appeared. One of my favorite and inspirational clients. What an extraordinary life she has had. Born & raised in Denver, graduated from DU, international teacher and the list goes on.
The picture of this manicure was for a special occasion. I think the polish looked fantastic. Reminiscent of the color of her era. Her family thought is was to risqué. I thought, she's 102 she can do whatever she wants! The second picture was taken when the salon was closed, (pending new ownership.) I was blessed to have her as my client for 4 years. When she learned the salon was closing she told me, "My dear...if I was younger and had the energy, I would stage a protest." Oh how I would have loved to have known her throughout her life! Happy Birthday Ruth!!

Vinylux by CND and Caption by Young Nails are my favorite polishes to use. The colors are gorgeous and the polish lasts for 2 weeks on my clients. The best thing about these polishes, is they dry in 8 minutes or less!
My beautiful hand models are 88, 93, and 98. Oh the fun and laughs we have!!

I love my "job"...

The little boy that belongs to these feet has a melt down when his fingernails & toenails are trimmed. At his Nana's house I was greeted with such excitement from him as he announced I was going to give him a "pedicuwre." As I was finishing with a tiny feet massage he said, "This feels a lot good. Vewry wewaxing."
