Every appointment is an opportunity for connection, conversation, and community. What started as “just hair” has grown into so many meaningful relationships, and I never take that for granted.
One of my clients gifted me this book, and I’m honestly so grateful and excited to get into it. Thoughtful gestures like this truly mean so much to me. 🖤

I finally made something I’ve been meaning to create for a long time.
One of the most common questions I get is:
👉 “Do you have something I can refer back to for maintenance?"
So I created it.
The Small Loc Maintenance Guide
This is the same structure I use with my clients to help them maintain healthy, thriving locs—especially during the early stages and beyond.
Inside, I break down:
✔ how to properly wash your locs
✔ what to use (and what to avoid)
✔ how to prevent unraveling and buildup
✔ what to expect during your first year
✔ how to maintain your locs long-term
This is for:
new loc clients
transfer clients
and even my established clients who need a reset
If you’ve ever felt unsure about what to do between appointments…
👉 this will help you stay consistent and confident.
You can grab it here:

And as always, I appreciate you trusting me with your loc journey 💛

My son started his loc journey 6/2022… and now almost 4 years later—look at the results. 👏🏽
No products.
Weekly washes.
Root maintenance once a quarter.
That’s it. Consistency over everything.
Everybody wants instant results, but locs will humble you real quick. This journey is about patience, trust, and staying the course.
And when you do?
Come on length! 🔥
Started a 5-year-old on her Microlocks journey today. 💛
Her parents did their homework, asked all the questions, and made sure this was something she truly wanted.
And let me tell you… this little lady was so excited she said she couldn’t sleep the night before. 😆
Now I know some people feel 5 is too young. But in my chair, if a child can sit, understands what’s happening, and is genuinely excited about their hair freedom — I’m here for it.
Healthy hair. Happy kid. Supportive parents. That’s what matters.
*Loc establishment decisions for minors are always made by the parent/guardian in consultation with the child.*
Three months post-establishment and she’s settling in beautifully.
This is her second time around the block with small locs, so she already knows what she wants this time…
And for her, it’s ALL about the squares! 😆
Some people care about length.
Some care about styling.
Her?
"I just want to see my squares.”
Listen… I respect it. Precision matters over here.
I love when a teenager looks you dead in the eye and says, “I don’t care what anybody thinks… this is my freedom.” 🙌🏽
That level of confidence? At her age? She’s my hero.
Microlocks establishment done — and she’s stepping into her journey on her terms. Low-maintenance, beautiful, and FULL of freedom.
I’m so proud of her. This is what choosing you looks like.

My heart is so full today. 🥹💛
Moving into this salon suite has been one of the best decisions I’ve made — not just for my business, but for my spirit. It’s given me the space to truly feel like a small business owner… to create an intimate, welcoming environment for my clients, and to be part of something greater than just what happens inside these walls.
This space has opened doors — not only to new clients, but to community. I’ve been able to pour back into others here and witness their growth too. But what has touched me most deeply is something I never expected: the beautiful relationships formed through a simple pane of glass.
Every morning, I’m greeted by the sweetest “window friends” — mall walkers who pass by with smiles, waves, and warm energy. Over time, we’ve built a bond that brightens my days more than they know. Some even tap on the window just to say hello.
Today, one of my favorite couples stopped in and gifted me these beautiful handmade treasures. Their kindness made my heart so full. 💐
You truly never know who’s watching, or how your presence might be making someone’s day a little better. What they don’t realize is how much they’ve made mine.
I’m so grateful for this space, this journey, and the unexpected connections that make it all so meaningful.
