This client received 2 mL of filler total:
💉1 mL in the medial cheek
💉1 mL in the pyriform space — the small area beside the nose where volume loss can contribute to a deeper-looking nasolabial fold and less support through the midface.
By restoring volume where she actually needed it, we improved midface support and, as a result, significantly softened the appearance of her tear trough—without injecting the tear trough itself. I also did not inject her lateral cheeks. She already had beautiful lateral cheek projection, so there was no reason to add volume there.

Florida, education, inspiration & a little fun along the way. 🌴✨
What an incredible few days at the Aesthetic Extender Symposium.
One of the highlights was having the opportunity to participate in the Cadaver Anatomy & Injection Experience with Dr. Sebastian Cotofana. There is something uniquely valuable about studying facial anatomy in this way—seeing the structures, tissue planes, and relationships firsthand and then connecting that anatomy to the techniques we use every day in aesthetic practice.
I also spent the conference attending educational sessions, learning from exceptional faculty, exchanging ideas with other providers, and meeting some of the most talented and inspiring people in our industry.
And then there was the fun… 🤍💗✨

She didn’t need her tear trough filled. She needed her midface supported🙌
I didn’t even inject directly into a tear trough, but supporting mid-cheek volume loss will improve the tear trough.
With just 2 mL of HA strategically placed in the lateral and mid-cheek, we restored lost midface volume and improved the transition from the lower eyelid into the cheek. This made the tear-trough shadow appear softer without injecting the tear trough itself.🤍
