Sometimes the brows you’re used to aren’t necessarily the brows that complement you best.

My client came in with a photo showing me exactly how she was used to penciling in her brows and the shape she loved.

After discussing her expectations, I explained that while there was absolutely nothing wrong with how she preferred to do her makeup, it wasn’t a shape I would recommend tattooing permanently on her face. And that’s an important difference. Makeup can be washed off at the end of the day. Permanent makeup requires a little more consideration.

I made it clear that if she wasn’t comfortable exploring a different shape, we didn’t have to move forward. No pressure, ever. She trusted my professional judgment, and together we decided on ombré powder brows.

We kept the thinner, more delicate shape she preferred while creating better balance for her facial features. Once healed, these brows will soften beautifully, with airy, pixelated fronts and a gentle transition into more defined tails.

One thing I will always promise my clients is honesty. I will always be upfront with you about what I believe is best for your face, your skin, and your long-term results. Even if that means recommending something different from what you originally envisioned.

My job isn’t to simply agree with everything you ask for. It’s to educate you, guide you, and create results that you’ll feel confident wearing for years to come.

My goal is never to give every client the same brows. It’s to create brows that make sense for their face, their preferences, and the long term.

Sometimes the most important part of an appointment is the conversation we have before ever picking up a machine.

Brows are a change. And change can be scary, but sometimes it’s necessary.

If you’ve been penciling in your brows for years, seeing yourself with permanent makeup for the first time can feel different. You’re used to a certain shape, depth and definition, and even a beautifully mapped brow can take a minute to get used to.

One thing I hear often is, “I want them really natural.” And I absolutely understand that. But there’s something important to remember: fresh permanent makeup and healed permanent makeup are two very different things.

Fresh brows are darker, bolder and more defined. As they heal, they soften and lighten significantly, and those hairstrokes become much more subtle.

So if you’re someone who normally pencils your brows in, going too natural can sometimes leave you wishing you had a little more definition once they’re healed.

That’s why I look at more than just what you think you want in the moment. We talk about how you normally wear your brows, how much makeup you wear, your skin, your natural hair and the healed result you’re hoping for.

The goal isn’t to make your brows look perfect on day one.

The goal is for you to love them healed. 🤍

Sometimes they need a little help.

We added soft, precise hairstrokes to create the fullness and definition her natural brows were missing, while keeping the fronts light and airy. Her skin was definitely reactive and made me work for those tiny strokes, but the goal is always the same: enhance what’s already there without making the brows look heavy or overdone. With her we’re also battling old pigment from another artist from YEARS ago. That dark harsh pigment fades but loves to stick around.

Now her brows match that gorgeous hair.

She came to me for a correction after having her brows done by another artist a couple years ago. The previous work was thinner and shorter than her natural brows, and the color had healed unevenly.

Luckily, the old pigment had faded enough that we could work over it. Nano brows brought the shape back into balance, while light shading helped cover the previous work.

If I can correct brows done elsewhere, I will. If removal would give you a better result, I’ll recommend that first. Every correction starts with an assessment and a plan for your brows.

Permanent makeup isn’t about creating a whole new you. It’s about making the features you already have a little easier to love every day.
From brows that frame your face, to softly defined eyeliner, to lips with restored color and definition, permanent makeup can give you that polished look without adding another step to your morning routine.

But here’s the part I think is important: the same technique isn’t right for everyone.

Your skin type, natural features, existing hair, lifestyle and desired result all matter when choosing between microblading, nano brows, powder, combo brows, eyeliner or lip blush.

My job isn’t just to perform the service you booked. It’s to look at the whole picture and recommend what I believe will give you the most beautiful, natural-looking healed result.

Because good permanent makeup shouldn’t be the first thing someone notices when they look at you.

They should just notice you.
