One of the biggest lessons motherhood has taught me is that our daughters need more than guidance. They need connection. 🤍

For a long time, I was focused on being the parent who protected, corrected, taught, and led. Those things are important. But I’ve learned that it’s just as important to be a safe space.

A place where she can come as she is. A place where she can be honest without fear. A place where she feels seen, accepted, encouraged, and loved.

Building trust and friendship into our mother daughter relationship has transformed us both. Not because I’m trying to be her peer, but because I want her to always know she has a home in me.

My hope is that as she grows, she’ll always know she can come to me with anything. And honestly? Watching her become one of my favorite people has been one of the greatest gifts of motherhood. 🌻
