9 DAYS. 🥳
A little throwback to the time I finished the MOS 100K.
We’re officially close enough to race day that apparently my subconscious has entered the chat. I dreamed I was running the race when I realized I had to LEAVE to go do a couple haircuts. 😂 Because apparently even during a 100-mile race, my commitment to exceptional customer service knows no boundaries.
So off I went. Did the haircuts. Came back to the race…and then had absolutely no idea where I was supposed to restart.
Naturally, I asked Michael to drive me to Murphy Park.
He refused. 😂 Apparently Dream Michael felt that since I had signed up to run 100 miles, I was perfectly capable of running myself over there.
So I started running, realized how much time I had lost and went into FULL PANIC that I wasn't going to finish.
I woke up genuinely stressed like this had actually happened. 😂
The best part is that Real-Life Michael has ALREADY asked me, “So how are you getting yourself home after the race?” Apparently his husbandly duties officially expire after pacing Loop 4. 😂 Insert an image of me with a roll cart looking pathetic limping down Grandview after 30 plus hour jaunt. NBD
And in real life, I had five clients message me yesterday looking for appointments on race day. 🙏 I truly appreciate that so many of you are thinking about my race and working around my schedule.
If you need anything, check in with me this week! I want to do my best to get everyone in at a time that works for them before race week gets a little crazy. You are absolutely never bothering me. 💜
9 days. Here we go. 🙌

A little throwback to the last time I took on the MOS 100.
16 days until I take it on again, four years later — and go after another MOS 100 finish. 😬🤞
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. Nothing about 100 miles is going to be easy, but after months of training, it’s almost time!
A little scheduling heads-up — I’ll be working shortened weeks during race week and the week after, and my schedule around both is already pretty full.
If you need an appointment in the next few weeks, please book now!
16 days. Here we go. 🏃♀️

We’re officially in the final 100 days of 2026.
There’s still a lot of year left to make the appointment, try something new, take care of yourself, chase a goal, change your mind, or just enjoy the season you’re in.
I’m a big believer that you don’t have to wait for January 1st to start something or to decide you want something different.
Here’s to making the last 100 days count, whatever that looks like for you. 💜

“Do you do more men’s or women’s hair?”
I get asked this all the time, and the answer is… everyone is welcome in my chair.
One of my favorite parts of doing hair is creating a cut that’s customized to your hair, your style, and your everyday life.
Messages like this make my day.
Because feeling good about your hair never gets old.

A rainy weekend made for a busy Sunday behind the chair yesterday! 🤗
I even had some familiar faces make the trip from Beloit. For years, I made that commute through snowstorms and all kinds of weather, so I’ll never take for granted when someone makes the trip to see me.
Whether you’re local or driving in from elsewhere, I appreciate it all so much!
After all these years, it’s so much more than just a haircut. Thank you for choosing my chair, sharing your lives with me, and continuing to come back. 💜

38 days until I take on 100 miles again.
The pacers have officially been proposed to, training is getting real, and race week will be here before I know it.
Just a reminder to take a peek at your upcoming appointments and book ahead. My schedule around race week will look a little different while I disappear into the woods for 100 miles.
Thanks for supporting my adventures outside the chair so I always have more entertaining and occasionally embarrassing stories to tell you. 😂

Those bangs. That fiery red. And I hear the hair is polling pretty well on the campaign trail.
She’s got a whole lot going on these days, but thankfully keeping this hair fabulous remains on the agenda.
I always love having Lindsay James in my chair!
As we head into YEAR FOUR, I have room for a couple more great personalities around here. 🤍
We have options from working alongside other independent professionals to having your own dedicated area with your own chair, station, and shampoo bowl.
My favorite thing about this salon has always been the people. It’s peaceful, welcoming, and full of genuine personalities who care about their clients and take pride in their craft.
Whether you’re newer and looking to grow or experienced and established, I’d love to meet you.
Come have a coffee, see the space, and see if it feels like a fit. 🤍
Know someone? Please share!

Monday seemed to be Men's Haircut Day, and between clients I traded my shears for hedge trimmers and w**d picking.
At 5'3", trimming hedges mostly involved a ladder and literally throwing myself into the bushes.
We have a saying in the ultra world: "Smile, or you're doing it wrong." Andy Glaze
Turns out it applies to owning a salon too. Even the jobs you don't love are part of the adventure. 🤗
