I had the LOVELIEST guest at Beyond Gold today, and I just HAVE to share this, because this is EXACTLY why I created The Beyond Gold Wellness Collective in the first place! 💕 This wonderful lady came in for my Tea & Tresses Dry Head Spa, and for an entire hour, she got to lie comfortably on my massage table while I played with her hair. Gentle scalp massage, soft brushing, and the simple pleasure of having someone take care of her for a little while. We used my house-made leave-in conditioner, this particular variation featuring green tea concentrate and my Honey Bunny fragrance, a rich, creamy milk-and-honey aroma that is just DELICIOUS! 🍯🐝 And you know what absolutely made my day? When we were talking about her next visit, she specifically requested MORE HAIR BRUSHING! 🥹💕 I cannot even begin to tell you how much I loved hearing that, because THIS is exactly what Beyond Gold was built upon. Not every spa experience needs to be complicated, elaborate, or focused on fixing something. Sometimes, it’s the smallest sensory pleasures that make the biggest impression. The feeling of a brush moving gently through your hair. The comforting scent of something sweet and familiar. The opportunity to close your eyes for an hour and simply enjoy being cared for. These are the little moments I want people to remember, look forward to, and come back to experience once or twice a month, simply because they feel wonderful. 💛 Today was such a lovely reminder that sometimes, the most meaningful thing I can offer someone isn’t an elaborate treatment. It’s an hour of uncomplicated comfort, created just for them. And yes, my dear, next time we will DEFINITELY do more brushing! 🥰✨

They were created specifically for the people who keep our local restaurants running behind the scenes. All of our other local Duluth restaurants, I’m talking to you. So… what exactly IS Floravelle? 🌸 Floravelle is my lifestyle and self-care brand, and the name itself tells you quite a bit about what I want it to be. Floravelle was born from two words: flower and velvet. Something sweet, and something cozy. Those are the two ideas at the heart of everything Floravelle creates. Right now, Floravelle lives largely behind the scenes at Beyond Gold, where I handcraft some of the products used in my spa treatments, including infused massage oils, salt glows and scrubs, aromatic hair and scalp creations, massage bars, wraps, and other little luxuries designed to make a treatment feel extra special. But Floravelle is growing beyond the treatment room. 🌷 I’m currently developing and testing products intended for you to enjoy at home, including fragrant body mists, rich body lotions, illuminating body milks, wax melts, bath creations, and hair-care products, with even more ideas happily simmering away for the future. Floravelle is ultimately about the beautiful little things that make life feel softer: wonderful fragrances, comforting textures, beautiful objects, cozy homes, indulgent baths, cared-for skin and hair, and those tiny everyday rituals that make you feel just a little more lovely. Our core values are sweetness without being childish, luxury without being intimidating, creativity without sacrificing quality, and comfort without becoming ordinary. It’s Monday. It’s October. It’s Duluth. It’s cold. So I think we could all use a little good news this morning. 🍂 Beyond Gold does not close for the major holidays. We will be OPEN on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. Why? Because not everybody has somewhere to go for the holidays, and not everybody wants to go anywhere at all. Maybe your family is halfway across the country and you’re the exhausted healthcare worker who still wants Thanksgiving to feel like something special. Maybe Christmas morning is the one morning you decide that the best present under the tree is the one you give yourself: a warm, quiet spa experience where somebody else takes care of you for a while. Maybe you’re a college student who would rather disappear into the stars for a Visit to the Astral Spa Lounge than be dragged to a crowded New Year’s Eve party. 🌙✨ Maybe you’re spending the holiday alone. Maybe you’re celebrating differently this year. Maybe December 25 is simply Wednesday to you. All of those are perfectly good reasons to come see me.
