WHY PERMANENT MAKEUP NEEDS A HEALING PERIOD
One of the most important things to understand about permanent makeup is that the result you see immediately after the procedure is not the final result.

Fresh brows, lips, or eyeliner can initially appear brighter, darker, or more defined. Then, during healing, something interesting happens: the color may temporarily look lighter, uneven, or as though some of it has disappeared.

That doesn’t necessarily mean the pigment is gone.

Permanent makeup is placed into the skin, and the skin immediately begins its natural healing process. As the surface recovers, temporary changes in dryness, texture, and the way light passes through the healing skin can affect how the pigment appears.

This is why evaluating PMU too early can be misleading.

The color needs time to settle visually, the skin needs time to recover, and only then can the healed result be properly assessed.

And this applies to brows, lips, and eyeliner - although each area has its own healing characteristics.

Here’s something many clients don’t realize: a brow shape can look slightly different depending on your facial expression.

SOFT SHADING CAN CHANGE THE ENTIRE LOOK OF EYELINER ✨
Permanent eyeliner doesn’t always have to be a perfectly solid, graphic line.
With shaded eyeliner, pigment is gradually softened above the lash line, creating a beautiful transition from deeper color near the lashes to a lighter, diffused finish.
Why does this make such a difference?
A crisp line gives the eyes definition. Shading adds softness, dimension, and the appearance of subtle makeup — almost like the effect of carefully blended eyeshadow.
The key is in the transition. There shouldn’t be a harsh edge where the shading suddenly stops. The pigment is carefully dispersed so the color becomes progressively lighter as it moves away from the lash line.
Depending on the eye shape and the desired look, the shading can be very delicate or slightly more expressive.
