Once upon a time, before I was making herbal tools, I was making spiritual ones. A spiritual art form given to me by my ancestors and spirits: beading. 📿 I created sacred adornment, waistbeads, made to release themselves when their medicinal mission is complete. The brand was called Birthright and while I knew it was time to close that chapter, the beads never stopped calling.

As I continue my work as an herbalist, I knew that spiritual medicine and art would continue to be steadfast. I took the time away to heal, tend to my own spirit, and reimagine what this work could be. Now, I’m happy to say that waistbands are now included in the offerings of Honeybalm Health.

Miserable periods are so common that they have become the norm. This is actually a huge debate: should periods be painful? Miserable? Debilitating? Is that just the natural order of things?
