I’m Marlena Johnson, owner, stylist, and educator at Flash and Flare Healthy Hair Salon.

Hair has given me the opportunity to experience this industry from both sides of the chair. I know what it feels like to be the student—learning, being trained, practicing, making mistakes, growing, and perfecting my craft. And I know what it feels like to become the stylist, owner, mentor, and trainer responsible for passing that knowledge on to others.

That experience has shaped the way I do business.

For me, beauty isn’t just about creating a beautiful style. It’s about education, healthy hair, professionalism, confidence, and helping people understand the value of proper care.
