When organic material isn't routinely vacuumed out of turf fibers, moss uses it as soil. Routine deep cleaning and perimeter checks keep the organic matter out so moss never gets the chance to start growing in the first place.

Recently, the TurfOptiX Kentucky team evaluated several synthetic turf fields for a Kentucky school district.

And it raised an interesting question: What happens when you're responsible for 10+ synthetic turf fields? They aren't all the same age. They don't receive the same use. They don't wear the same way. And they certainly don't all need the same maintenance or capital investment at the same time.

That’s where we think field management needs to change.

Instead of treating every field independently, we're using our Field Intelligence Survey and Turf Performance Index to help owners begin looking across the entire portfolio.

Which fields need attention now?
Which need preventive maintenance?
Where are repairs developing?
Which fields are performing well?
And where should future capital dollars be focused?
