My heart is heavy to even be making this post...I held off because quite frankly it’s hard to even believe and has been hard to fully wrap my mind around. Most of you know Nick and I have owned the Loft in East Peoria for 8 years August 1st. My grandpa gifted us money as an early inheritance at a time we were living on very little. We used every dime to open The Loft. 3 years ago we moved locations to an adorable house, with the perfect location but the building was nothing short of a mess. We signed a long term lease and built out a salon from wall studs to create exactly what we needed for the long term. A few weeks ago we were given notice by the landlord that we had 60 days to vacate. We were in utter disbelief. We have been honest tenants, brought lots of value to his property and have treated that building as if it were our own. I’m not here to drag him through the dirt but I’m sure you can imagine, it’s been rough and unfair to say the least. I want to thank you all for your unending support to The Loft and all our amazing girls who poured so much of themselves into shaping it into what it is today. Your support helped us buy our first home, pay our bills, allowed nick to go back to school years ago and have the salon I once only dreamed of. Please know isn’t going anywhere because we do onsite weddings and trials can be done at stylists salons. We are so happy to keep serving brides! My greatest concern in all of this was that all of the Loft stylists would find a new safe place to continue to grow their business. Thankfully they all have found new homes and they will be contacting you all soon, so don’t fret. So, as of August 1st, our 8th anniversary, The Loft will be closed. We believe that God see’s the big picture and we trust Him completely that he has everyone’s best interest in mind. Again, thank you for your love and support ❤️

I can’t believe the change in this girls hair!! The right picture is from the very first time she came to me before I did any services on her and the left is from Saturday! Her hair has changed so much and is so much healthier from Monat!!

Lightened this girls hair for summer and added a subtle shadow root!

Before & After on one of my longest childhood besties! The lighting isn’t ideal because we were losing the natural light, but the color is still 👌🏻 So much softer and blended! Her goal is to get super blonde, but to do that you’ve got to make sure you keep the integrity of the hair! I added lightener to almost her whole head, leaving out some pieces for dimension. At the shampoo bowl I blended her roots more with a smudge root formula then I toned the rest of the hair with an icy toner. It’s so important to protect the hair when you are going blonde because it can be so damaging, but with the right steps you can get there! Same girlie, same hair! Different stages and tones of blonde! Getting her to a nice icy blonde without the brassy tones. Blended balayage highlights with a smudge root each time, just changing up her levels! She has been using Monat and that has helped as well!
