Just wanted to share something small that I get asked frequently.

“How did you come up with your business name?”

I always chuckle before I begin explaining lol and yesterday I had a client ask me so I thought today I’d share with everyone.

Long story short, I’ve been doing hair since I was 12. I’m 35 🤫 as I’ve gotten older, all I’ve heard is, “you’re so pretty” “oo your hair is so pretty” “you always looking so pretty” “you pretty just like ya mama” PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY 🤭 Well with one of my nicknames & the prettiest being Ki, I doubled up & along came KiKi; I simply put it together and we’ve been flourishing since 🥰
When my clients get up, check the mirror, it’s always, “yesss so pretty” “you always do a good job, it’s so pretty” “I love it, it’s pretty” “yes Ki, it’s pretty” PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY 😍

Sometimes I have to remember I’m still Ki’Ondra lol but when I tell yall I love being behind the chair and making my clients feel and look better than when they sat down, I LOVE WHAT I DO ‼️🖤

I would like to address a small situation and hopefully I don’t step on anyone’s toes 😬 but more importantly, I hope yall understand the point I’m getting across.

As everyone knows, I SOLELY run my business. I don’t have an assistant, I don’t have any workers, it’s ME!
With that being said, when I travel & I’m on block scheduling, it’s VERY important that each client shows up on time! I’m literally working from sun up (630am) until midnight or later just about each travel trip! So if ONE client, is 30mins late, that pushes back the rest of my clients for that day! Maybe 30mins, maybe an hour, maybe 2 hours!
Here’s where people stop getting it but let me make it VERY clear!
Everyone’s head size isn’t the same. Everyone’s density isn’t the same. Everyone who sits in my chair isn’t the same age. Therefore, when ONE client is LATE, it leaves me having to message my other appts to let them know that I’ll have to push back their time because so & so didn’t show up when expected to. It’s an inconvenience for me and it’s unfair to them. Things happen & it’s ok, I understand. However, at the end of the day, I still have to run my business. I still have to stick to my policy.
🚨 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
If you are more than 5mins (which is the grace period window) communication or not, you will STILL be charged a $15 late fee. LATE FEE MUST BE PAID BEFORE YOU SIT IN MY CHAIR!If you’re more than 15mins late, your appt will be canceled! As my clientele continues to increase, I have no choice but to re in force what some have taken advantage of 🚨
Please understand and know this isn’t to bash or point out anyone specific. It’s happened frequently lately and I have to nip it before it leads me to turning away clients.
