Brow Lamination: Should You Try It?

Brow trends come and go, and right now brow lamination is still a popular brow service!

Lamination helps the brow hairs lay upward, more uniformly, and separated, creating that sculpted, lifted brow look that’s on trend right now.

But lamination isn't just about the style. One of my favorite practical benefits is that it can make the brows look fuller by getting more of your natural brow hairs visible and helping them stay in place.

Will you like it?

Maybe! And maybe not. 😉

Some women LOVE their lamination and love the lifted, sculpted style. Others decide that particular look just isn't for them. In my experience, I've found that more people like it than don't.

Should you get one?

If you like a lifted, more uniform brow look or want your brows to appear fuller, lamination may be worth trying. It works especially well for longer brow hairs that grow in different directions or are difficult to keep in place. Lamination doesn't add hair or change your natural brow shape permanently, it simply redirects your existing hairs and helps them stay in place. I think anyone who cares about their brows should try it once to see if they like the style and shape it gives their brows.

Do you have to?

You don't "have to," but if you care about your brows, I think it's worth trying a lamination at least once to see how you like the style and the shape it gives your natural brows. You may love it! And if you decide it's not your thing, that's okay too. Knowing what works for your brows and your personal style is part of good brow design.

What to expect

Brow lamination takes about 30 minutes, not including brow shaping. I recommend having your brows shaped at the same appointment so we can create the best overall look for your face and your natural brow pattern.

Aftercare is simple:

* No soap or makeup remover directly on the brows for 24 hours.

* During the first 24 hours if they get wet, simply brush them back into shape. The first 24 hours are important as your brows are still setting.

* After 24 hours, you can support your lamination with brow soap or your preferred brow gel. Brow soap is my personal favorite!
