Get to know the person behind the treatments!

I’m Kennedy, a licensed esthetician, voted Effingham’s Top Esthetician 2026 and rooted right here in my hometown of Effingham. My journey has always been driven by a fascination with science and a heart for people; after studying pre-medical science and sociology, while playing collegiate volleyball at Vincennes University, I moved back to Effingham and enrolled in The Royal School of Cosmetology Esthetics program. Following graduation, I was honored to accept a position at The Sapphire Luxury Spa – voted Effingham’s Top Day Spa 2026!

I’m now furthering my education at Lake Land College to become an Esthetic Nurse. I believe that skincare is a blend of art and medicine, and I’m obsessed with the “why” behind the results. I’m not just here to give you a service; I’m here to be a partner in your skin health. Whether we’re working on a specific concern or just giving you a much-needed break from the stress of life, I want you to leave The Sapphire feeling like the best version of yourself. To me, a spa service isn’t just a luxury; it’s an investment.

I have high standards and zero patience for a checkout line. I’m much more at home spending time with family & friends, boating, traveling, loving on animals, or deep diving into a podcast than I am wandering through a store. I have a soul for the rustic farm life and a taste for the finer details—jewelry, silk sheets, and scents — but I’d rather be at the spa than shopping for it. If it involves the water, the outdoors, or a good pair of earrings, I’m in—just don’t ask me to go to the mall!

Skin enthusiast by day, CNA by night. When I’m not hitting the books or spending time with my favorite humans (and my dog, obviously), you can find me in the treatment room making your glow-up dreams a reality or loving on the senior generation.
