This year feels extra special because my mom, Maria Prieto, and I will both be exhibiting our artwork at the Fall Festival of Art. 💛
We each found art at different stages of our lives and for different reasons, but creating has become something we share—and a beautiful way to strengthen our relationship.
Come celebrate with us, see our art, and discover the work of talented local artists.

I came to Oaxaca to visit Hierve el Agua.
That was the plan.
I wanted the photos. The experience. A beautiful long weekend in Mexico.
But somewhere along the way, I fell in love with a place I didn’t even intend to fall in love with: Oaxaca City. 🇲🇽
Walking through its streets gave me the strangest feeling…
Have I been here before?
There were flashes of childhood.
Recuerdos.
Colors, smells, food, architecture… little pieces of Mexico that felt deeply familiar.
Oaxaca awakened something in me.
It reminded me how much I love cooking.
It made me curious about the history, the art, and the people who have shaped this incredible city.
It inspired me to learn more about Mexico—to visit more of its states, hear their stories, taste their food, and experience their art.
And perhaps most importantly, it reminded me:
Make art.
Create.
Dance.
Be curious.
Go somewhere you didn’t plan to go.
Let yourself be surprised.
Because sometimes happiness isn’t waiting for us at the destination we planned.
Sometimes, it’s hiding in the unexpected places along the way.
What a great place to celebrate 10 year since I started doing solo birthday trips as a reminder that I’m responsible for my happiness.
Gracias, Oaxaca.
Im leaving with a little more love for Mexico, creativity, and for myself. ❤️🇲🇽
✨ 3 YEARS OF SLEEP SIMPLIFIED ✨
Three years ago, I held my book in my hands for the first time and thought…
I hope this helps someone sleep. 🤍
Today, I’m celebrating something even more meaningful:
It has.
Sleep Simplified: Simple Tools to Reduce Anxiety, Finish the Stress Cycle, and Sleep Like a Queen was born from my own journey through insomnia, stress, anxiety, and burnout.
I didn’t write it because I had all the answers.
I wrote it because I discovered simple tools that helped me—and I wanted to make them easier for someone else to try.
And then I started reading your reviews. 🥹
Readers have shared how the book helped them:
✨ create their own sleep routine
✨ calm their minds
✨ understand that there isn’t one “right” way to sleep
✨ discover tools like journaling, breathing, yoga, and mindfulness
✨ reconnect with rest and self-care
✨ and, most importantly, believe that better sleep is possible
One reader called it “a lifeline for rest, relaxation, and vitality.”
Another loved that the book encourages you to experiment and create your own “recipe” for sleep. (Goodreads)
That is exactly why I wrote it.
Because sleep doesn’t have to be complicated.
And you don’t have to do everything perfectly.
You can start with one simple tool.
Three years later, I’m still incredibly grateful that these pages are making their way into bedrooms, nightstands, and lives around the world. 🌎💤
Thank you to every person who has bought the book, read it, gifted it, reviewed it, shared it, listened to the audiobook, or told someone about it.
Thank you for letting Sleep Simplified be part of your journey. 👑
Here’s to three years of helping people sleep better, feel better, and live more fully.
And to many more years of sleeping like a queen. 👑💤

Woke up to a thunderstorm in the desert and got to read my first short story published in heiter - intentional fashion and lifestyle magazine , one of my favorite indie magazines.
A little story about slowing down, listening to your nervous system, and finding joy in the tiny little moments.
Feeling grateful that these words are now out in the world.
Thank you Kiki | founder, editor, stylist for the privilege of being part of Blooming and welcoming me to the heiter family.

If something isn’t working, you’re probably used to fixing it.
Research it. Buy something. Try harder.
But sleep doesn’t always respond to more effort.
This week, try noticing instead.
When do you feel rushed?
When does your body tense?
When are you tired but keep pushing?
When do you actually give yourself permission to slow down?
You don’t need another perfect sleep routine today.
Start with awareness. 🥑💛
Save this as your reminder to slow down.

Dear September, I love you! 💛✨
Can’t sleep? Stop looking for another sleep hack. 😴
If you’re constantly researching the newest sleep tools, supplements, routines, or “perfect” bedtime habits… it might be time to stop looking OUT and start looking IN. ✨
Ask yourself:
💭 What actually helps me sleep?
📱 Am I scrolling on my phone before bed?
😤 Am I angry, worried, or emotionally activated?
🎨 Am I feeling inspired or creatively energized?
🧠 What happens in my body and mind on the nights I can’t sleep?
And here’s something important: you don’t only lose sleep when something “bad” happens.
Excitement, creativity, big ideas, anticipation, and even positive emotions can keep your nervous system activated too.
Before adding another sleep supplement, gadget, meditation, or complicated routine, identify 3 things that consistently help YOU sleep better.
Master those first.
Then—and only then—start experimenting with new tools or lifestyle changes.
✨ Better sleep doesn’t always come from doing more. Sometimes it comes from understanding yourself better.
Follow for simple, practical sleep tips, insomnia support, nervous system regulation, and Sleep Simplified tools.

10 Journaling Questions to Create More Abundance ✨
Abundance isn’t just about having more. It’s about becoming more aware of what you want, what you’re ready to release, and what you’re willing to receive.
Grab your journal, take a few deep breaths, and explore these questions:
1. What do I truly want more of in my life—and why?
2. If I stopped worrying about what other people expect from me, what would I choose?
3. What limiting belief is keeping me from believing that what I want is possible?
4. What am I grateful for today that I once wished for?
5. Where in my life am I resisting receiving help, love, money, opportunities, or support?
6. What am I ready to forgive so I can stop carrying it into my future?
7. What would change if I trusted myself and the process a little more?
8. Where am I trying to control an outcome that isn’t actually mine to control?
9. What is one small action I can take today toward the life I want?
10. If I truly believed I was worthy of an abundant life, what would I do differently this week?
BONUS QUESTION:
If I would die in a year what would I regret?
