I had the most beautiful God moment yesterday with a new client. With their permission, I’m sharing this testimony. One thing I’ve learned through bodywork is that healing isn’t always physical. Our bodies can store stress, grief, and emotions, and sometimes those feelings are released during or after a session.
It’s a privilege to hold space for people as they heal, and there is so much joy in being God’s hands and feet, serving others through this work. Every story of healing reminds me why I love what I do.

Play, joy, and love are biological necessities, and the science is unambiguous. 🧬
Laughter lowers cortisol and epinephrine, crying releases built-up nervous system tension, hugging shifts you out of fight-or-flight and into calm, singing stimulates the vagus nerve (which governs your heart rate, digestion, and immune response) and dancing actually promotes the growth of new brain cells.
These aren’t fringe concepts, this is your physiology responding to joy in real time.
We’ve built entire industries around optimizing food, sleep, and exercise, and those things matter deeply, but joy, play, and love belong in that same conversation.
Think of them as part of your health stack — non-negotiable, not optional, and available to you right now.
Joy IS health.

You are what you absorb. Physically, emotionally, intellectually. It’s the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the products we apply to our skin, the cleaning products we use in our home, AND the conversations we take part in. We absorb it all. Being mindful of what we absorb doesn’t stop at what’s on our plate, in fact that is only a tiny piece of the pie…pun intended. From the air we breathe to the endless chatter on social media, it’s important to remember that so much of what we absorb is intangible, yet equally toxic. More and more studies are being published that show the impact of the intangible, so when the option is there to choose, let’s choose wisely. Let’s use our dollar and our energy to vote for what we value, and let’s continue to advocate for less. Less pesticides, less ingredients we cannot pronounce, less chemicals in our beauty products, less scrolling. Less of everything (except maybe…animals☺️)
