One year ago I was about to have my first baby.
I was burnt out, tired and excited for the change of pace with raising my daughter. I thought about leaving the industry on occasion.

Strangely enough, motherhood refreshed my passion for hair when I thought it would do the opposite. Work days felt less like work and more like time with friends. (And sometimes a break on some hard days😅) Everything felt new again.

I have some exciting things I’m working on and I can’t wait to share more soon. Thank you guys again for always being supportive.💕

Low maintenance is still my favorite look because it personally resonates with my lifestyle.

You can look good without an every 4-6 week appointment. In fact I prefer working with longer grow outs because I’m less likely to overlap lightener. Thai creates less damage in the long run. 💕

Unfiltered thoughts 🤔

Once upon a time I took an extensive global blonding class. To my surprise I discovered I really don’t enjoy it as much as thought. It’s such a satisfying color to nail but it’s hard color to maintain without breakage and damaging hair.

For a while I regretted taking this course and wished I’d invested elsewhere. It took me a bit to realize I actually apply the fundamentals I learned to all of my blonding clients.
For that I am thankful.

To my global blondes: I still love you ! But if long term hair health is your goal ❤️ with love ❤️ this isn’t the color for you.

To my ENGAGED GALS :

Now I’m not a bridal stylist but blonde hair is an ideal color for updos as it really shows off the details,texture and intricacies that sometimes darker colors hide.

When looking for inspiration for your wedding, take into consideration the color of your hair and your photos you bring in. Even better is picking inspiration photos wit the same color as you own hair.

Obviously not every bride needs to be blonde. Even just adding dimension makes a huge difference for making your hair really POP on your special day.

“I don’t have well water anymore.” Is music to my ears when we’ve been fighting iron build up and hard water build up.

Side note: not all wells have the same mineral content. Wells with excess iron really darken blondes over time and make it increasingly hard to upkeep. I’ve even seen wells over the years that deposit so much iron onto the hair you can no longer tell there’s been highlights between appointments. In these circumstances other hair colors might be better suited for your hairs health.
