Our outermost layer (the stratum corneum) consists of tough skin cells bound together by lipids (think natural oils) and must be protected to remain in good health. Just like our lips, our skin tends to chap when exposed to extreme weather, especially loss of humidity.
💧Applying a serum such as hyaluronic acid or ceramide underneath an oil rich moisturizer can help to keep skin balanced and nourished.
🚿Showers should not be so hot that they are dehydrating and stripping the skin. Apply your skincare afterwards while your face is still damp.
