Peter surprised me with homemade Polish blueberry buns (jagodzianki), still warm from the oven, and Mr. Tadeusz brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. 💐🫐

🐦 Maybe I should open a zoo instead of a barbershop! 😂

While I was giving a haircut today, I heard some tiny chirping. I turned around and saw a little baby bird on the floor of my barbershop. It must have fallen out of its nest… and somehow managed to waddle all the way to me on its tiny little legs, as if it was asking for help. ❤️

My client and I immediately paused the haircut and started a little rescue mission. We searched for its nest until we finally heard faint chirping coming from a red pipe on the side of the building. Hidden deep inside were its siblings, patiently waiting. 🐦💕

🇺🇸 For a long time, I thought the American Dream only existed in the movies… ✂️❤️

As an immigrant, I never dared to dream that one day I would open my own barbershop in Downtown Evergreen. Even though I’m a Master Barber with many years of experience in men’s haircuts and straight razor shaves, and I knew I had the skills, I was simply scared.

The moment I said “yes,” everything started falling into place. Looking back, I know it was one of the best decisions of my life.

On July 15, KINGA THE BARBER celebrates its first anniversary. It has been a year filled with hard work, new friendships, immense gratitude, and valuable life lessons.

❤️ Thank you to every one of you for your trust, your support, and for becoming part of this journey. This is only the beginning.
