Hi you! My name is Kate Donoghue, and this is Hippieish! I am a free spirit, artist, a hippie(ish), old soul, dreamer, and entrepreneur. I believe in good vibes, positivity, empowering others, and manifesting the best life. Another little fun fact about myself is my unwavering love for Cincinnati Bengals football. Who Dey! I have been a paramedic for 18 years and an ER Nurse for 11 years. However, life decided over two and half years ago that it was time for a big life change. Chad, my partner in crime and love of my life for the last 14 years, along with our two fur babies, Frankie, Roxie and Zoe the cat, started over fresh. In this time we thought, we might as well live out our dreams of becoming entrepreneurs, and that's how Hippieish was born. I grew up in beautiful Asheville, NC before moving back to my hometown of Cincinnati, OH 20 years ago. In my formative years, I was raised by two hippie parents. I cannot thank them enough today for my upbringing. I was raised on homeopathic medicines, natural cures, aromatherapy and essential oil potions. This was before diffusers existed. Of course as a teen into my twenties, I rebelled against everything I was taught growing up (don't we all?). I shopped at all of the popular perfume stores, bought all the chemicals and used body care and home products that are just plain toxic. Then one day in 2014, I was working in the ER and went to a store on my lunch break and bought an essential oil based perfume. It was then I discovered how easily it is to achieve good smells without harsh chemicals. Instead of buying a refill, I set out to learn how to make my own. Since then I have been making my own "Kate's Hippie Spray". Once I started making my own non-toxic products, I began to use my nursing education in a different way. I started doing a lot of research into the chemicals that home and body care items are made with, and y'all, it's not good. For the last few years, I've been making my own body sprays, pillow sprays, foaming hand soaps and bug spray. They are made with 100% natural and organic essential oils, carrier agents, smell fantastic and are non-toxic. My goal is to offer you a safe alternative to modern day body and home care products, that are sustainability sourced, naturally occurring, organic and safe for your body and home. I know we feel better since switching over to natural, non-toxic products, and I hope to share that with you and your family as well. Welcome to Hippieish! I look forward to meeting you!

Most of y'all know, 2024 was a bizarre year for me personally, I battled health problems that I didn't expect. As a nurse, being a patient is a surreal and odd experience I never want to go through again. So I'm going to keep focusing on my health and making Hippieish products.

It finally feels like fall today 🧡
The leaves on the maple trees are gorgeous, painting the landscape with Mother nature's own paintbrush. The rich reds, oranges and yellows are so vibrant and bright!
It is a visual reminder that this is the time of year to let things go, just as the trees shed their beautiful leaves.
With all the chaos going on in the world (which I consciously ignore), find the beauty in each other, the compassion and the love that we all have in common and just be kind. 🧡
