To all of our amazing clients, as the state continues to reopen the number of cases of covid19 are rising.

We ask you to cancel and reschedule your appointment if:
-You or anyone in your household has been exposed to someone who has recently tested positive for the virus or is showing signs of having the virus in the last 2 weeks.
-You are awaiting test results for the virus.
-You have had a fever or any flu like symptoms.

Please know that we don’t want to turn anyone away but we need to stay healthy to keep the business up and running! Thanks so much for everyone’s continued support and understanding during such an unknown time! We appreciate you all!!!!!

Clients! We are hoping to hear from DeWine today on a reopening date for salons. We know all of you want in immediately. We totally feel for you and understand it’s been miserable to go this long without color and haircuts. We want to give you some realistic expectations on the reopening process. We will be as fair as possible. Those who had appointments March 18 will be the first clients in and we will work our way out from there. The previously scheduled clients who have been waiting the longest will be in the soonest. We will reach out to you to reschedule you. If you were not scheduled in March, April or the beginning of May please text your stylist or call the salon and we will put you on the list.

Please know that this won’t last forever. We are praying this will just be this way for your initial visit and in following months it will be back to our normal routine. We know that it sounds harsh and a bit cold but it’s what we have to do so we can see as many of you as possible, as quickly as possible. Please know we are not excited or happy to be doing things this way. We will be working with masks and protective gear on and we’ve heard it’s difficult. Please know that by cutting down time in the chair you are doing us a huge favor. We love you all, you know we’ve missed you terribly. We will be reaching out to you as soon as we have a date.

We will not be shampooing anyone. We will ask clients to come in with clean, damp hair (if possible) and will cut your hair. We will not be blow drying or styling anyone. If we can minimize your time in the salon we can get to more clients each day. We will be cutting first, applying root touch ups and sending you home to shampoo it out. Processing time will keep us from seeing more people as soon as possible. We know it’s not ideal but it’s best for the clientele as a whole. Color corrections (if you attempted your own color and botched it) will be seen after we get all previously scheduled clients taken care of. All clients will be required to wear a mask. Each stylist will only have one client at a time. We will be trying to keep the number of people in the salon at any given time as low as possible. Only clients that can come in on their own without assistance will be seen in the beginning. If you have questions feel free to post them in the comments so we can answer for everyone to see! Thank you for your loyalty and patience during this stressful time!

Today Governor DeWine announced that hair salons will NOT be in the first phase of businesses reopening May 1st. We will be waiting to hear of a firm reopening date before rescheduling appointments. We appreciate all of your support and patience during this time! Please reach out if you need anything. We are still selling retail products so let us know if we can get you something. Love and miss all of you!

I really want to take this opportunity to PERSONALLY say how I appreciate the clients at JJ’s. For those who reached out and prepaid for services, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Also, so many have reached out concerned for us both individually and for the salon. I think more than anything this time has shown me and taught me to be CONSIDERATE. It also is teaching me patience and perseverance, we have received no small business loans at this time.

Please be cautious and careful in the weeks ahead. This fight is not over. We will find out Monday what phase we are in. In the meantime, if you need temporary root spray for roots or any retail products please reach out! Hang in there! We are in this together!
Love you guys!

Hello clients! We have had many of you reaching out to try to schedule appointments. We are waiting to hear from Governor DeWine and the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology on a definite reopen date, along with the new regulations that will be put into place so we can operate safely and effectively. We appreciate your patience, we are hoping for some answers soon! We would like to let everyone know that we will be requiring that all stylists and clients wear masks inside the salon. Due to shortages of masks we want to give you a heads up... all clients will need to bring their own masks for their appointments. We will not service anyone without a mask. Thank you! Please be on the lookout, we will update you as soon as we know when we can get back to work. We love, miss, and appreciate you all so much!!! ❤️

PSA (again) to clients!!! If you are contemplating doing home hair color- PUT THE BOX DOWN!!! I know we struggle when we hate our hair... it affects our mood and self esteem. We want to encourage you to use this time to give your hair a break. Let’s stop using heat, chemicals, and product for awhile. When we get back to the salon we will have the opportunity to change up your color or cut and go for a new look if you’d like. If that isn’t motivating enough please know this- it will be 1000% easier to get a standard color appointment than a color correction appointment. You’ll end up having to wait longer to get in. This will be the FIRST question we ask when scheduling you. If you’ve colored at home with OTC color we will need extra time. Please reach out to your stylist directly if you need a pep talk or an intervention! If you are thinking about cutting your hair see the live video Kari Ruth posted earlier in the week! Love you all! We absolutely CAN’T WAIT to be with you all again!❤️
