Hey guys! I just wanted to start off by saying how much I appreciate all of you and your patience throughout this crazy transition. I have received positive feedback and have been relieved with your willingness to be flexible.
Like I said in my original post, I would love nothing more than to retain all of you, but that simply isn’t possible. I’m doing my absolute best to squeeze as many of you into my available Saturdays as I can, but there are only so many hours in a day.
With that being said, I do not have any openings until JUNE.
If you need your hair done before then, I would be more than happy to refer you to other stylists at Refinery. There might be times that I can do the leg work and get your info over to that stylist, but there will also be times where I ask you to call the front desk. Part of the reason that I have stepped back from hair is because I do not have enough free/down time in my day to commit to my business.

With that being said, the best way to get in touch with me is to TEXT ME. For those of you who do not have my phone number, you can message me privately and I’ll give it to you. There are approximately 5 different avenues that people take to contact me and unfortunately I don’t always get notified/the message gets lost in the shuffle of my phone. So PLEASE text me or else I can not guarantee you’ll receive a prompt response!

I will be thinking of ways to make this booking process easier for all of you and for myself, but as of now all I can do is go by a “first come, first served” approach. So please look ahead at your schedule to ensure you can book with me! I had originally stated that I would only be booking 2 months at a time, but the influx of appointment requests has had me scheduling out further. So if you would like to start booking your June-August appointments, I can do that!

Thanks again, everyone!

Hey everyone, I have some big news! After months of consideration, my husband and I have made the exciting decision for me to reduce my work days significantly so that I can be home with our kids more regularly. ♥️ Fortunately, I work for two incredible men who support me in this and are striving to make this new chapter of my life as easy as it can be! So with all of that of that being said, I won’t be stepping back completely! I will be taking clients every other Saturday!
So, this week (Mar. 7-Mar. 9) will be my normal hours and then my new schedule will start on March 16(alternating from that Saturday) I apologize if this feels last minute. Once the decision was made, there were many meticulous that needed to be put into place. I was also focused on informing clients who already had upcoming appointments so that a mass announcement wouldn’t cause panic on their end ❗️I will only book out 4 Saturdays at a time unless you’re booking for a wedding❗️Speaking of weddings, any of you that have scheduled with me won’t be affected! And anyone who is looking for a wedding stylist for a future date can still reach out! I love working weddings so I will still be regularly scheduling those. As much as I would love to retain ALL of you, I know that isn’t possible. I would, however, love to refer those who can’t make my new schedule work to one of my coworkers. The Refinery is full of incredibly talented stylists who I am confident will ensure your transition is uncomplicated and easy. An advantage to sticking with The Refinery is that I will be able to share your hair history and recent formulas. That’s not to say that you and your new stylist can’t come up with new cool ideas, but having a thorough history of what your hair has undergone over the last few months will help ensure a positive outcome. I love you all so much and have always appreciated your support. I hope to continue receiving that support throughout this next chapter of my life. All I ask is for patience during this process. Thank you all and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions! ♥️

Hi everyone! 2024 is almost here and I'm so excited! There is A LOT I plan to implement, for your benefit and mine, in the new year. One of those things is a blog on my website! I get a lot of feedback on the pictures that I post when I add an educational caption, however, when a client wants to reference back to it, its so hard to find.
So, I thought adding a blog would help all of us! It'll motivate me to keep up my own education while also giving you guys the knowledge to get the most out of your experience in my chair/at the salon and to overall live your best hair life.

The blog will have educational content that spans from "how-to" tutorials, product/treatment knowledge, common questions I'm asked, etc.
There is an option to sign up to my "mailing list" and I'd love if you all did that! Being on that list will ensure that you are notified when I make a post AND it will ensure that you receive any emails that contain information that is important for my clients to know! (more on that later)

All I ask is that you don't judge my writing skills too harshly because I am far from being a good writer.

So click the link below to check out my first couple of blog posts and let me know what you think! (unless it is mean.. then I don't wanna know)

Fashion Colors 🤤 I just love the challenge and creativity that comes along with this service. However, those challenges aren’t only on my end. Fashion colors can be high maintenance as far as the client’s “at-home” routine. Here’s a list of what NOT to do.. and honestly, these rules apply to any colored hair. You’ll just see the negative effects significantly quicker with fashion colors ⬇️
✨NO hot water- Cold water closes your cuticle which will help keep that color locked in. I know, I know.. hot water is best for showers, but it will drastically decrease the longevity of your color.
✨NO cheap shampoo- Speaking of opening the hair cuticle, cheap shampoo does that to the extreme. It only takes ONE time of washing with a shampoo from Meijer to see a dramatic difference in the color. The Refinery has plenty of great options at all different price points. I strongly suggest to my clients to buy from us so I know that they’re using the absolute best.
✨NO chlorine- Chlorine isn’t good for anyone’s hair (just ask your friend with blonde highlights), but it REALLY isn’t good if you’re rocking a fashion color. So as much as you’d love pink hair before you go to the water park, I’d recommend holding off. Frankly, swimming/submerging your hair in water with or without chlorine can cause it to fade quicker as well.
✨NO washing your hair everyday- Again, this particular thing has benefits for more people than just those with these colors, however, over washing with fashion colors is a big “no-no”. Even if you’re doing all the right things, washing your hair EVERY DAY will decrease the life of your color. Refinery sells multiple great dry shampoos. I’d be more than happy to walk you through the process of introducing it into your routine.

Fashion Color hair services are NOT cheap and the service usually takes HOURRRS. So going against these 4 no-no’s is like throwing your time and money down the drain (nobody wants to do that). If you’re considering having some fun with your hair then I’m your girl! Just please consider all of these factors before making the jump!
