Long post ahead: I’m closing the doors to my salon in March. In this decision, I’m met with equal parts sadness, but also… relief. I always want to stay authentic and true to who I am, so sharing this just feels right (and also a little vulnerable and scary) 🤍

In all honesty, these past few years of salon ownership have been a struggle. It’s spread me thin in so many ways, and I felt like I haven’t been able to give my full devotion to any one particular area of my life. And guys, it’s SO HARD to not compare yourself to all the business baddies out there. I found myself comparing and feeling like a failure for making the decision to close the salon. The hustle culture got me. But you know what? I’m so dang proud of myself for doing it for three years, and all while raising three babies, too!

Through these years I’ve learned that what’s most important to me is being the best wife and mom that I can be, and having a career that allows that has always been the goal.

I’ve been praying over the last year that God would give me the discernment to know if I should keep doing this, or if I should pivot, and I feel recently He made that very clear to me—which is how I landed on the decision to close the salon.

I’m sad that my team of amazing girls won’t be able to stay in the same physical location together, but the relationships we’ve built here are so wholesome and I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to have had these ladies by my side. I’m also met with great relief! Guys, I can’t wait to step back and have less responsibilities!!! Less every day stress. THAT is what a rich life looks like to me!

With that being said, YES I’m still doing hair and makeup! In March I will be moving to Luxe Suites in the Union Promenade and renting a suite there. I can’t wait to make a cozy and relaxing space for my clients and for myself! I will also focus more of my time and energy on scaling my bridal business—which is what really fills my cup!

Thank you all for your unwavering support in every venture I’ve tackled. Truly, I couldn’t do what I’m doing without the support of my clients. Here’s to the next chapter 🤍
