The Jigsaw Collection
Let’s put the pieces together
Reposting this one because it still makes me smile. 🤍
It’s funny how the content you overthink is rarely the content people connect with the most. The videos that resonate are usually the ones where you stop trying to be perfect and just let yourself show up.
A good reminder for anyone creating content: your authenticity will always outperform your strategy. You don’t need to copy someone else’s voice, chase every trend, or become a different version of yourself to make an impact. The people who are meant to connect with you will connect because you’re you.
This one was such a fun moment, and I hope it reminds you to keep creating, keep sharing, and keep showing up exactly as you are. 🤍
Growth feels even more meaningful when it means we can serve more people. 🌿
Systemic Solutions Counseling Center is proud to officially have two locations to better support our community Plantation and Sunrise, Florida!
With a team of 25 compassionate therapists, we’re able to help individuals, couples, families, children, and teens find the support that’s right for them. And the best part? We currently have availability, so you don’t have to wait to get started.
Healing starts with one conversation. We’re here when you’re ready. 💚
Can we all agree that if we made a bingo card of therapy topics… “my mom” would probably be the free space? 😂
No matter how much we love our parents, the relationships that shaped us often shape the way we communicate, set boundaries, handle conflict, trust others, and even see ourselves. That’s not about blame, it’s about understanding where your patterns began so you can decide what you want to carry forward and what you’re ready to leave behind.
So yes… your mom comes up in therapy. A lot. And if you’re laughing right now, you’re definitely not alone.
Sometimes you’re in session… and sometimes you’re just trying to keep your brain plugged in until the end. 😂🔌
The signs are there. We know it. You know it.
But here’s the thing: staying present isn’t always easy. Sometimes showing up, trying, and giving what you have that day is most of the battle and that still counts. 🤍
Boundaries aren’t about pushing people away. They’re about making sure you don’t lose yourself while trying to keep everyone else comfortable.
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is, “Setting boundaries feels mean.” In reality, healthy boundaries create healthier relationships. They reduce resentment, increase respect, and allow you to show up as your best self instead of your most depleted self.
If setting boundaries makes you uncomfortable, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re doing something wrong. It often means you’re doing something different.
🎯 Here are my top 3 tips for actually following through:
1. Stop over-explaining. A boundary doesn’t need a five-minute defense.
2. Expect discomfort. Not everyone will like your boundary, especially if they benefited from you not having one.
3. Stay consistent. Boundaries aren’t about what you say once they’re about what you repeatedly reinforce.
The people who are meant to be in your life will learn how to meet you there.
What’s one boundary you’ve been trying to get better at? 👇
One thing about therapists? We’re probably the hardest people to shock. 😅
Between community mental health and private practice, trust me… we’ve heard it, seen it, and sat with it all. The things you’re worried are “too much” to say in therapy? Usually aren’t.
If this season has taught me anything, it’s that life doesn’t always unfold the way we planned.
Sometimes you do everything “right,” and you’re still asked to wait. You’re still asked to carry disappointment, uncertainty, or loss while somehow finding the strength to keep showing up.
As both a therapist and simply a person, I’ve learned that none of us are immune to life’s hardest moments. We all have chapters that humble us. Chapters that stretch us. Chapters we never would’ve chosen for ourselves.
But I’ve also learned that there is so much courage in waking up the next day and trying again.
You don’t have to have every answer. You don’t have to force what’s outside your control. Sometimes doing your best, letting go of what you can’t change, and taking one more step forward is enough.
If you’re in a season of waiting, building, healing, or wondering if life will ever feel different… I hope you don’t give up on yourself. Keep making memories. Keep finding joy where you can. Keep believing there’s still more life ahead of you, even if you can’t see it yet.
One day you’ll look back and realize you survived a chapter you thought would break you. And that version of you, the one who kept going when it would’ve been easier to stop, will be the reason you’re standing where you are.
So if today all you can do is take one more step, let that be enough.
Keep going. 🤍
Me in traffic: absolutely ready to lose it. 😤
Then I remember… I’m a therapist. And a local business owner. 😅
Please tell me I’m not the only one with an internal battle every time someone forgets how a turn signal works. 😂
