Yesterday at 1:50am I had to say goodbye to my favorite person in the world, the man that I know God created for me. Half of my soul has been ripped away, a piece of me is just gone. I feel like I’ve been punched in the chest and can’t catch my breath. Telling our four kids that their Daddy wasn’t coming home came with another type of pain that is just so indescribable, so gut wrenching. Screams from that kind of pain should never come out of a child. Our hearts have been shattered into so many pieces we will never be able to get them all back. Our kids need soooo much prayer. He was our rock, it all just hurts so bad. I can’t even try to explain what has been happening in our home. It’s been the worst two days of entire lives and we can’t even call him so he can tell us “I’m coming, it’ll be ok, I love you more than anything.” Please pray for our family. We know Gods plan in bigger than our own, we trust in Jesus’ name, but it doesn’t lessen the wounds we have. We have been loved on by our friends and family so much, it’s been the only light in our days. We have gotten all of your calls and texts, and I’m sorry we haven’t been able to respond. We’re going literally minute by minute here and it doesn’t feel like real life for any of us. Our world will never be the same without you Luke Goad. I love you forever. Give heaven some of that air guitar and I hope you pull some toad. It’s Skylar’s turn to have her Daddy. We miss you babe.
Hanna , Lucas, AJ and Jasper, I will do anything and I mean anything for you. I will run through fire to the ends of the earth for you. I love you so much.
We know we aren’t the only ones hurting, but we’re asking not to have any visitors tomorrow while we spend time trying figure out our next steps as a family of 5 instead of 6.
