The color change is subtle, and that was exactly the goal.

We softened the warmth so her natural silver feels more at home with the rest of her hair.

A little shift in tone, a softer blend, and still completely her.

Still brunette. Just a little harder to spot the grays. 🤎

Funny how a service we used to call color correction now often gets called gray blending. 😄

For this client, blending her grays was the goal, but first we had to deal with the reddish tones in her previously colored hair.

Those warm lengths were competing with her cooler natural gray and making the growout look more obvious.

We softened that warmth and brought the color closer to the gray she already has. Now the transition looks more intentional, and she has room to keep growing it out without feeling like she has two separate heads of hair.

Her natural white hair was growing in, but a dark band left behind from a previous root touch-up was making the transition feel harsh and disconnected.

We decided to take a careful first step with partial highlights, strategically placed to soften that darker area and begin connecting her white regrowth with the lighter hair below.

The night before her appointment, she became nervous about going lighter and almost canceled. But she trusted the process, and once she saw the finished result, she was so relieved she came.

Not every transition needs to happen in one marathon appointment. Sometimes a thoughtful first session is exactly what the hair and the client needs.
