In a world of a million things to be inspired by and to compare yourself to and to try and “be like” and to have all the noise around you to clutter your mind; YOU get to be the one to compare yourself to, to compete with, to be like more of your future self that you strive to be. ✨

I started my business without ANY idea of what it would be like and not knowing anything about business, or much about marketing or what it actually takes to “be the boss”. I went in blindly, and scared. But I had so much PASSION and TRUST that I knew if I didn’t do it, I would be kicking myself nightly and asking myself “what if?”.

I have a good friend who is a photographer in washing state, and one day we were talking and I had sent her this photographers page and said something like “you can do stuff like this!” What she said stuck with me..(as does so many things she says that give me “ah ha” and “omg mind blown” moments)
She said: I don’t care to follow many other photographers pages bc they are not me and when you follow too many people that do what you do it pulls you away from you and who you are as a Photogrpaher because there’s just too much inspiration to be or do like they do.” not her exact words but it was a total aha moment.

You are you, and THAT is what makes you special and unique. Your craft is yours alone and no one can take that from you. So make it special, and not what you think everyone thinks it should be, but at your core what is right for you and what you are trying to create🤍
