I encourage you to find local organizations that collect plastic bags to turn them into sleeping mats for people experiencing homelessness. 🧶💕

Whether you reuse them, donate them to daycares for crafts and activities, or give them to a group making these mats—know that your small effort can make a BIG difference!

We are incredibly honored to announce Be the Village of Somerset, Kentucky as the Official Charity Partner of US MISS 2027.

Be the Village serves foster, adoptive, kinship, and vulnerable families by providing resources, encouragement, and hope when it’s needed most.

As part of our Nationals experience, every delegate will participate in a special US MISS Service Project by helping assemble duffle bags for children entering foster care. Many children enter foster care carrying their belongings in trash bags. Together, we’re going to help change that, one bag at a time.

Each delegate is asked to bring some new items to help fill the duffle bags, such as:
🩷 A new blanket
🩷 A children’s book
🩷 A coloring book and crayons
🩷 A small toy or game
🩷 A journal
🩷 A toothbrush and toothpaste
🩷 Shampoo, body wash, or other travel-size toiletries
🩷 Hairbrush or comb
🩷 Socks or pajamas (new)
🩷 Reusable water bottle

US MISS will provide the duffle bags, and together we’ll fill them with love, comfort, and hope for children beginning a new chapter.

Because at US MISS, we’re not just building queens, we’re building a community that serves.

It truly takes a village, and we can’t wait to make a difference together. 💕
