Franklinton Branch Library

📚 Friends of the Library Week is Coming to Franklinton! 💙

The Franklinton Branch Library staff are excited to celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week!

National Friends of Libraries Week will be celebrated October 18–24, 2026, but the Franklinton Branch staff will be celebrating a little early — October 13–17 — so our library team can take part in the Washington Parish Fair during National Friends Week.

This year marks the 21st annual celebration honoring the dedicated Friends of the Library and the important role they play in supporting our libraries and our community.

Throughout the week, the Franklinton Branch will feature a special Friends of the Library display celebrating their year-round contributions. Visitors will also have the opportunity to write a “Thank You” letter to the Friends and our library staff will display these messages throughout the library for everyone to enjoy!

Stop by, learn more about the Friends of the Library, and help us celebrate the people who give their time, energy, and support to make our library stronger. 💙📖

Help us kick off Friends of the Library Week a little early and show our Friends how much they are appreciated!

🎉 We have a fantastic lineup of events beginning Tuesday, with something for everyone—young and young at heart! ❤️

Just a reminder, we’ll be closed today, Monday, October 12, for a staff day. We’ll be back Tuesday and can’t wait to kick off a fun-filled week with all of you!

We can’t wait to see your smiling faces and make some great memories together. Come join the fun! 🎈✨
