Leadership KFB Capsule 6: Adding the pieces to become a leader in agriculture through Leadership KFB 10/07/2026

"When I look back on where I began at the beginning of Leadership KFB, my goal was simply to grow as a leader and become a more impactful asset in my community," says Hallie Means, a participant in this year's class of Leadership KFB. "What I didn’t expect was to become more confident in asking the big questions, further developing my understanding of agriculture policy and, most importantly, recognizing the importance of taking up space in a room of fellow leaders and finding that is where personal growth happens."

The sixth and final session of the leadership program took the cohort to Washington, D.C. to connect with agricultural leaders at the federal level. Read more about Hallie's experience.

Applications for the next cohort of Leadership KFB will close Oct. 15 - apply today at www.kfb.org/leadershipkfb.

Leadership KFB Capsule 6: Adding the pieces to become a leader in agriculture through Leadership KFB This is part six of a series from Hallie Means, Greeley County, to cover an inside look at Leadership KFB, a one-year leadership program by Kansas Farm Bureau that encourages members to seek thoughtful and impactful change, not only in agriculture, but also in communities across Kansas and beyond.
